I dunno about this. I think its fine you know like a LW UFA (although i dont think Anderson is the type of player Grier will go after), Evans to replace Sturm, and Barron is just young, but we are already over crowded on D

Overcrowded with bad D maybe. Not so overcrowded with young RD. Anderson is a no go though. Too many years on his contract and he has NTC.

I mean if we were to get Barron, then we would have almost 10 d guys fighting for the bottom four. Barron isnt good enough to play on top pair so he’s just going to get thrown in the blender. We also have Emberson, Thompson, Laroque and Addison (but i dont think we resign him). Barron just isnt the profile of defender we should continue to add. & At 23 he is still trying to crack the NHL which d-men do take longer but isnt that still about when players start to hit their ceilings generally? I dont see it as a good bet.

We put Barron in the minor so he can gain the extra second in the d-zone. He's a great first passer but in a bit of stress sometimes when under pressure. He's a good 200ft two way to become, we just have too much skilled younger d at the moment. He's way better than Addison and can offer you some time to develop your young D crew

Andy won't be a problem when you will need to sign your new core. Anyway salary cap won't be a mess for at least 4 years.

But at the moment he would need a spot we already have filled. We dont have any top pairing D-Men but I dont think Barron is a huge improvement, if any, on any of Ferraro Thrun Mukhamadulin or Emberson, which doesnt take into account Ruuta Vlasic Benning or Burroughs. So centering him as the main value for a cap dump doesnt make much sense to me
