That add to Tavares better be good because Demko isn't going to be moved unless the return is insanely good. If any goalie will get dealt this offseason probably be Silovs for a close to breakout young forward who can help our top six. (Ie. To Columbus for one of their Russian kids (or Johnson) where Van has to add a little bit.)

Canucks neither need nor do they want Marner, unless he is about 70% retained, without the Canucks paying any assets to a third party.
He might be worth $3MM/year to the Canucks but certainly not much more.

Maybe Demko can stay healthy in Leafland. He's no use to the Canucks if he's not available when they need him most.

There's no guarantee we make the playoffs without Demko. So Silovs wouldn't have the great run right now.
