The team formerly known as Arizona Coyotes doesn't want Tavares and the Knights have no use for an overpaid soft perimeter player who vanishes in the playoffs.

Why in the world would Vegas trade 3 guys with decent cap numbers for one guy that will eat up a sizable chunk? I realize, as a Leafs fan, that is what you would like to have (3 players with decent cap numbers), but that is not going to happen in a trade. Especially not with a team that is a perennial contender.

Sure thing Don Cherry lol
Vegas has enough snipers and getting top defensive winger and playmaker is better then Barbashev and an aging Marchessualt

Marner could get paid $15,000,000 a season in Toronto and still make less then Vegas offering him 8 year $8,700,000 with how high 🇨🇦 income taxes are, not to mention Vegas beats Toronto when it comes to weather
🤷‍♂️

I have no doubt that Vegas would be a destination that Marner would waive his NMC to go to. The issue is that they would be giving up 3 roster players that work well in their system for one guy. They would have to fill in those spots with lower paid players. They would be better off to avoid what the Leafs are in right now. Paying half of their cap space to 5 players (4 of which are forwards that don't score in the playoffs)

"Top defensive winger" LOL, don't believe everything you read or hear on TV from the Toronto centric Canadian hockey media. It's all about views and clicks and BSing about the team in Canada's largest metropolitan area gets more views/clicks than anything else.

Barbashev and Marchessault combined make less money than Marner makes, have similar combined regular season production and better combined post season production. They won't be looking for 12 mil plus a year from now either.

The only Canadian media I don’t believe when it comes to their opinions is you LoL
and I really don’t care about your opinion because you are as Matt Sekeres would say “the Mayor of Wrongville” but you are more like the President LoL
Your predictions this year with Flames players resigning long term has been worse then Madam’ Cleo’s and Christopher Walken’s psychic network
Zadorov, Lindholm and Hanifin 👋
