NHL Scrub

Probably a high quality AHLer talent wise. In terms of actual he’s probably the 9th-10th best guy in most organizations (and that’s what he is in MTL too, behind Hutson, Mailloux, Struble, Harris, Barron, Kovacevic, Savard, Guhle, Matheson)

I can’t see many teams trying to compete being willing to put up with a dman that is:

-unable to contribute on either special teams unit
-arguably the least disciplined player in hockey
-really really bad defensively
-requires incredibly sheltered minutes

An enforcer is cool and all but it’s much easier to hide a 12th forward than a dman</div></div>

Considering he is only 22 I think you can see my point of being a little over the top. He is still learning. He isn't refined yet, like literally every other 22 year old not named Makar pretty much.

Either way, the penalties you'll find no arguments here. The guy is reckless sometimes and gets calls against him but that is also kind of his M.O. But he's learning how to reign it in. If you would see his first half and second half separately I'm sure you'd see a decline. Again he's young man, learning how to be an NHL'er.

As for specialty teams, he's not a PP qtrback so that's no concern. PK though, he's getting there but even if he doesn't, its not exactly the thing he needs to be stellar at the most anyway. Habs have plenty of Pk guys already.

Really bad defensively is an opinion only. There are plenty of analytics that contradict each other because I've seen some that show a decent overall picture. Not nearly as black and white as you make it out to be.

Regardless, you've mentioned in prior posts that you just straight up don't like the guy and what he represents as a hockey player. That's fine, that's your opinion but there are plenty of ppl in hockey who'd love this guy and they'd all show you analytics in which he is not really really bad. Just still raw and getting better. He hasn't even played 100 games in the NHL yet. There is upside there but MTL hasn't exactly been the best place to refine some of those things. At least not early on. Its starting to get better now though.
