I think its more about needing to move out cap space than anything. As much as Guerin likes dumba, someone has to move

I mean Doug Armstrong was at the flyers game tonight and the blues have been scouting the flyers for the better part of two weeks. I think any contending team would like to add Giroux to their team. Giroux is pretty much the best luxury tax you could add to any contender right now

And honestly, I don't see them moving Grimaldi either. He can play in the NHL (though Hynes doesn't seem to be a fan), so that's useful for depth if they make a run, NSH isn't hurting for cap space, and he's killing it in the AHL, so I don't see them wanting to move him.</div></div>
yea honestly only addded him for cap reasons

Allen isnt much of an upgrade over Mikko. might as well keep our second and finish paying him for the year</div></div>
i need to start this by saying that yea Puli for Laughton is a big overpayment. However, I think Laughton would be such a good addition for the oilers. A guy who can play all 3 positions, can play up and down the lineup. plays physical, sticks up for teamates.

Positives
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mintyfresh</b></div><div>Okay soooooooooo here's how I like to look at the trades.
Ryan Ellis for Phil Myers, Nolan Patrick, 13th pick.
Ristolainen for Ghost and two 2nd rounders</div></div>
Yea I 110% agree. If you move the packages around it's easy to edge yourself off the cliff. In full honesty, I'm not too worried about the draft picks. the flyers are deep in the prospect pool and eventually, you have to try to win. I wonder about a risto extension. I'm assuming somewhere between 5.5-6 million for like 4-6 years? kind of a spitball idea but just judging it off what the other D men are getting on the flyers (provy 6.75 Ellis 6.25). with that and the sanheim deals done the top four is locked up for the next 4ish years and this is probably the best top 4 the flyer have had since 2010

I mean with the circumstances that the blues are in it seems as though Tarasenko is all but done with the organization. I know the blues GM said that he expects Tarasenko to be fine playing but with all the stuff that has happened I doubt everything is hunky-dory come training camp. This actually saves you money as Voracek with 2 million retained is 6.25 compared to tarasenko's 7.5. with the flat cap even a savings as small as that can really help teams make moves.

Same with Danualt, who has said he wants to be a 2c so I doubt that gets it done. Plus he is a weird choice for a team with Couts.
I think your trades are more or less reasonable</div></div>
Yea the Danualt thing was more of a wish then i think it will happen. I could see them looking at some older options for 3C (Getzlaf for example) which i doubt would cost them 5 mil

I really don't know what the fix is for this team. there was some dark times (Hakstol Era) for this team but this is the worst I have seen them play in my lifetime. Everything that could go wrong has for this team. This season is really a forgone conclusion at this point so I'm wondering how to fix this moving forward.

We'd still be forced to go 4×4-1 in the expansion draft because he's that good, but getting Frost on top of it is literally the cherry on top.
Future top 6 as soon as next year of...
Brodin-Spurgeon
Sanhiem-Addison
Suter-Soucy/Cole
I'm getting literal chills just thinking about it. This is a hella good return for Dumba even sans the 1st or 2nd round picks.
I'd do this in a heartbeat!</div></div>
curious to get a wild's fan perspective on this. I assumed that they would leave suter unprotected cause I can't imagine that seattle would take that contract. Am I wrong?

I think that they might if they look at it in a James Neal situation. Pure goal scorer they get in the short term to provide offence (he would only have 2 years left at the time of the expansion draft)

He also took a head shot in the Vegas series. He’s a great PK’er as well. Sharks will miss Braun

Subban and Ehlers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bernie814</b></div><div>I do not see trading Voracek for Subban as a smart idea. We don't need another offensive defensemen playing with Provy. Do you believe that Voracek is less of a player than Ehlers? I KNOW a line of JVR, Hayes, Voracek will absolutely dominate next season. Ghost should not be traded just to get a 3RW, he will have a bounce-back season and is the Flyers PP1 QB. I think Elliot or even Talbot would be a better and more cap friendly backup than Reimer. We will see what happens over the draft weekend and into the start of free agency as to where this roster will be.</div></div>
No I do think Jake is better the Ehlers but Ehlers has a higher potential and could be much better then just a 3rw. I think him and TK could compete for number 1 RW

I don't think so, I think Myers upside is too much to give up on.
