Necas yes again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Oh no, almost like there's more to playing center than taking faceoffs!</div></div>
That's right, being defensively responsible is a big part of playing Center. Would you like me to start highlighting those stats for Necas?!
Listen, I've already written Necas is offensively gifted and that if I were MTL I'd be interested. But let's call a spade and a spade, he's a RW... you doubling down on calling him a center is certainly a choice lol.

2025 Maple Leafs
Why would Montreal do this? There are reports that we already turned down better offers for Xhekaj and they were from non rival teams, do you seriously think we would accept this from the Leafs or Bruins?! Would you accept it from the Habs if the roles were reversed?

That's the same reference I used for pick value haha, its a good tool. I guess ultimately I'm just not as confident that Demidov is that far from someone like Lindstrom or even Eiserman / Catton / Iginla for example... that's just me I may not be as informed. I think another thing that we don't consider though is that the defenseman are highly regarded this year and therefore some strong forwards could be passed over.

You mean a guy’s who is a perfect competitor, always in the critical spot, who always compete at the highest level he can giving is all on each shift, a ultimate leader. Yeah why does a Toronto would like to had this kind of players, wouldn’t fit the diva culture established. Maybe it’s time for
Toronto to pay the price it’s needed to win in playoffs.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>I mean, I get your point but McTavish was also a massive reach at 3 when the draft happened.</div></div>
I’ve noticed Ducks fans logic goes as follows.. only take into account every positive part of a Ducks player and focus solely on the bad of the opposing player.
You see Zegras didn’t have a bad year this season but he was hurt, out of rhythm and you must ignore every part of his 200 foot game this season. Think of the past, only.
Josh Anderson is terrible because of only this year and not because he’s been on a bad team trying to adjust his style with MSL giving weekly videos lessons. Don’t think of him scoring consistently at over a 20 goal pace per year as a power forward.
Rules for thee not for me should be their slogan on this forum,

Even if they added Boeser it still wouldn't be close. Lekkerimaki and the 1st are the only real pieces of any interest to CHI, and those pieces aren't worth nearly enough. Suffice it to say Bedard will be in CHI for a VERY long time.

Also worth mentioning, on Scott Wheeler's prospect pool ranking:
Perreault was the #9 prospect for Anaheim's #5 Prospect Pool
Mysak wasn't even listed (top 15) on Montreal's #10 Prospect Pool.

As a habs fan, part of me is happy and the other part of me is sad.
It kinda sucks to lose Mysak, I had such high hopes for him before and I think he could end up being a 4th line C.
On the other end, Jacob Perreault is a former 1st round pick in 2020 and he's from Montreal. On top of that he has only 2 less points than Mysak and played 17 less games than him.

Oh wow. I like it as a MTL fan. Mysak is going to be a bottom 6 NHLer at the absolute best. Probably is more likely to be a forever tweener. Perreault is certainly boom or bust at this point but has a higher ceiling so its decent gamble. Habs need more high end guys and less of what they have in Laval right now.

#48 overall pick in 2020 ..... versus ..... #27 overall pick in 2020 who actually played a NHL game before, who is also from Montreal and is the son of a former Habs player
That's a win for Montreal in my book.

Habs trade for lHeureux
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jackaille</b></div><div>jsut to add, and I agree with you, Lebrun just came out saying Carrier is being shopped right now. Who would fill that role if Carrier is traded and Schenn goes on the 3rd pair</div></div>
I think Carrier is being shopped because they've not been able to come to terms on an extension. Carrier is well liked, and the organization has been clear that they want to keep him but aren't open to the possibility of a sought after asset leaving for nothing as a UFA. I think it just means that Tyson Barrie is back in the lineup and you move one of the AHL guys up as your 7D or you move Lauzon to RD (he is a lefty playing on the LD currently because we have too many RD) and you move up one of the AHL guys as your 3rd pairing LD. I just don't see the Preds being in the market for a D, especially a RD unless they can move both Carrier and Barrie.

Habs trade for lHeureux
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jackaille</b></div><div>woulnd't he be a BIG upgrade on Schenn ? I feel NAshville can make the playoff this year and next year with their defense and goalies</div></div>
Savard would be an upgrade on Schenn, but an upgrade over a 3rd pairing D isn't worth a 1st round prospect that is ahead of schedule in terms of development. L'Heureux is 3rd in scoring among all rookies in the AHL and the organization seems pretty high on him.
Return on Savard is at best a late 2nd round pick to mid 3rd round pick in my opinion. With Del Gaizo and Stastny (Preds D prospects in the AHL, both 23 years old) both looking ready to make the jump to the NHL I can't see the Preds being in the market for D anyways.

1 for 1 - need for need
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jackaille</b></div><div>you are literally the only Buffalo fans I have seen with logical thoughts, even if we dont agree on everything you understand the logistic of trades and weakness/strength</div></div>
I try to, I mean I can see why this AGM was made from both Teams stand point. I wouldn't do the trade because I think Rosen will be the better player. But Barron is young and Dman take time. And whoever said Barron doesn't have Top 4 potential is just blowing smoke, it was all over his scouting reports, but they did say it could take a few years for his head to catch up to his Body.

1 for 1 - need for need
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shibbal18</b></div><div>Cool some fan blog, primary source, totally. He's so good, montreal fans have been dumping him for spare parts since October</div></div>
That so stupid, Mtl aren’t trying to dump him he is a valuable assets that could be use as a trade chip to fix a position of need. Piss me off when people piss on young player like they are trash just to make them feel better about their players. Rosen at the moment doesn’t hold any more value then Barron. Rosen is a frele winger who progress well in the Ahl. He isn’t lightening up the Ahl. You act like he is a top Nhl prospect. The probability that Rosen doesn’t play in the Nhl is greater then the possibility that Barron become a bottom pairing defenseman at worst. Barron already shown that he can handle 15-16 minutes a night against bottom opposition. So cut the crap out about him not having potential. How many 22 years old defenseman play in the NHL in the top 4.
