Who cares that he is a hometown kid, Turcotte is a bust. Just because the Hawks have all those extras picks doesn’t mean they should throw them away.

the endless rumours, the z and c bromance.
ghule is worth z + a first MINIMUM</div></div>
Guhle is more risky than Zegras (injury issues)
Guhle gets the point on age
Ld is the most common position in the league
Guhle’s contract expire at the end of the season
ELC vs first real contract
Guhle is taller
There is no off ice issues with Zegras
Contract has been signed, issues are over
The bromance doesn’t lower the value lol. If anything, it higher it

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>my_name_is_Fil</b></div><div>seriously, ghule is much more valuable than z. in many respects</div></div>
Unfortunately, no. Guhle is a bit more valuable than Romanov. So 10-11 OA. Zegras is worth a bit less than the first Debrincat trade, so 9-10 OA.
Guhle is at the top of the league defensively but his offense is really limited.
Zegras is at the bottom of the league defensively but has decent offense (not top of the league tho). He gets a lot of value cuz he is a media star and probably sells more jerseys than the rest of the team. Trading for him is a bad hockey move, but an insane buisness move

Zegras is worth 9-10 OA, Guhle is worth 10-11 OA. A second is probably the difference but neither teams does this cuz Anaheim has 1000000 LD and Montreal don’t want to overpay for a media star who isn’t good defensively

I agree, we'd rather have Reinbacher. I know Giggle was "reported" but the need in Anaheim is RHD

I know Roy is a UFA but this is not a good trade at all for LA.
Especially trading him to DET.

Drurys Offseason
No. Goodrow is a massively negative asset, and is still owed 5 million real salary this coming season.
Kakko's upside is fading fast, he's been through three coaches and none have been able to get him going. The top 6 capability is gone, maybe there's still 2nd line in there somewhere, but he's looking to be firmly a middle 6 guy at this point.
Since the 1st is paying for Goodrows ticket out of town, you're offering Kakko for basically Vatrano straight up (while also occupying a retention spot we may want to use elsewhere, but in considering the retention a push with goodrows retention)
You guys should have taken the deal at the TDL for Henrique retained and Vatrano for Kakko and the 24 1st.

Other than being drafted 5th overall 5 years ago, what has Turcotte done as a pro to make him worth a 2nd, 3rd and 4th? In his 3 seasons as a pro, he has missed more games than he's actually played in.

Better question. Why would CHI give up that much for a guy who can't hack it at the NHL level? He is a bust. I wouldn't mind CHI bringing him in and giving him an opportunity. But they aren't paying that much for a reclamation project.

I dont care what his draft status was 5 years ago.
Just because they have extra 2nds and 3rds doesnt mean they need to waste them on a player who can't stay off IR.

Kirill: Probably not an NHLer

Boston and Los Angeles don't consider. Chicago should take that but their fans won't agree.
The bad thing is this team would be closer to winning the lottery than playoffs.

Amazing Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ktownchef</b></div><div>Hoglander put up more goals this past year then Trevor ever has and all at even strength. He did it while barely seeing PP time and getting 2/3's of the ice time Zegras normally gets.
You're looking at 2 players taken in the second round, another second and a first. Not exactly a bag of pucks offer especially for a rebuilding team.
You may view this offer as insulting. I view it as a massive overpay for a guy who is constantly in trade rumors because the current GM can stand him and he only tries hard when he gets to play offense.</div></div>
WTF does Hoglander have to do with anything? Know what else he did? Set a career high 36 points, and managed 24 goals shooting 20%. You know what we call that in the industry? An unsustainably high shooting percentage. Don't worry your little head, he'll regress.
And no, that's not a godsend offer to a rebuilding team, in case you missed it, we've had several 2nd round and late first round picks in recent years, and gotten prospects who were taken in the first round. Know what those guys turn into? Bottom 6 players, if the become anything. We already have a boatload of those players, so why are we giving up a young top 6 player for a bunch of cast offs, not to mention an outright cap dump that you'd have to use the first round pick just to cover his ticket out of town.
But hey, sure, you go on and believe the rumors made by the same guys who proclaimed Pettersson was on his way out of town.
