Must be nice to trade DeSmith away for a bag of chips and replace him with an aging Markstrom who has 3 years left on his contract, exactly what we don’t need

Have some of us pens fans not learned what happens when you trade for an aging guy on a contract with term???

Ight bet. What would you do? I thought Markstrom just at less salary 3 years had some playoff experience less of a load for him maybe plays a bit better. Just looking for established goalie I guess? Just spitballing would love to here what you would do. Stick with Desmith? Go somewhere else? You tell me!

Not a fan, but I imagine Ottawa would reject that. They are probably fishing for something bigger, if they don't do a Forsberg/Sogaard tandem.

With a .912 sv% over 5 years and for a cap hit of just $1.8m I don’t see a reason at all to move him unless we are looking to gain a mid round pick for whatever reason, he’s serviceable and does so at a very team friendly cap hit, don’t think he’s going anywhere imo
