Description

With Kuzy in LTIR the caps now have 9 mil in free cap space. With that sort of money they can afford to retain 50% of every expiring deal on the roster which boosts the players value big time. Now the Caps can capitalize on contending teams that need depth at a discount.

I like that the whole reported issue between Detroit and Berggren is over Detroit not being able to make roster space for Berggren... And yet 90% of the trade proposals for Berggren are to add even more forwards we don't have room for.
