Personally I don’t think the Canucks would pay a 2nd to dump Mikheyev. Maybe I’m wrong though

I am all for the Necas trade, the only issue is that Carolina would be dumb to sell him for that low.

Also, whoever you are targeting in the later first round probably drops to our pick at 34 anyways, so no need to make the trade and pay the premium if moving up to the first round.
