So if he made 5 million less he would be worth 9.5 million. I think you are confused buddy, he doesn’t make 14.5 mil per year… lol

Why are bros saying they won’t take a free first round pick for JT, given the concerns about his NMC are legit, but typically when a player isn’t wanted they won’t stay and in a high pressure market like Toronto I wouldn’t be surprised for JT to ask for a buyout/play with a young gun in Bedard.

A clarification for draft lottery fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>hmmm... I skimmed through a few recent articles on the subject or similar subjects but didn't see anything that confirmed it. Idk, though. I'm going to operate under the assumption that this is correct until a league representative comes out and says otherwise. The language seems clear, but, again, there were lots of people the last couple years after the rule changes were announced that disagreed, including the way Bettman spoke about it in an interview.</div></div>
I think the only reasonable way for this issue to be resolved is for the hawks to win the lottery with the 11th best odds next year to be sure.

Would be crazy, I suggested something like this for the Russian prospect last year… people told me it was an NBA style trade.

Either hanging out with his buddy Bedard, or living the high life in SJS with his dad in the general area half the year… I’m sure the top 2 were ideal locations.

A clarification for draft lottery fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shaun80</b></div><div>So if Celbrini goes back to college next year, and if he does let's face it San Jose will finish dead last again, so if they win again next year they could still win and pick 1st the next 2 years? So basically 4 1sts in a row.</div></div>
Yes, and theoretically when Celebrini stays 4 years in college and defects to the Blackhawks the will hold the first pick in the 2nd round of the 2028 NHL draft .

A clarification for draft lottery fans

<em>No single team will be able to advance in the Draft order by reason of winning a Lottery Draw more than two (2) times in any five (5) year period. This limitation will not affect a Club’s ability to retain its presumptive Draft position in any Draft Lottery, nor would it preclude the possibility of the Club moving down in Draft Order to the extent other Clubs advance by reason of winning the Lottery Draws. For purposes of clarity, the limitation would attach to the team, not the specific pick.</em>

See the specific mention of advancement in the lottery.

Vegas getting out of the backend of that Pietro contract and getting Marner would be so evil, and so on brand for Vegas. As a neutral fan with a tendency to like watching the work burn, I approve.

Not Chicagos own first round pick. It would be shortsighted to do so. TBL 24 or TML 25 are available.

Thats not the worst thing in the world for the hawks, and if it gets it across the finish line I think they would make that change. I am tempted to ask for more if its the full 7 million dollar cap hit though. Maybe another pick swap or late rounder?

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things, as Chicago fans have mentioned they would accept this trade previously... but a 25 pick is preferred because we already have 3 2nds in 26.

If KD gets Trade aggressive
I am all for the Necas trade, the only issue is that Carolina would be dumb to sell him for that low.
Also, whoever you are targeting in the later first round probably drops to our pick at 34 anyways, so no need to make the trade and pay the premium if moving up to the first round.

Marner to NJD
Roos isn’t in the hawks plans in all likelihood, and so I guess they accept to take a flyer on Robertson. To be honest, the hawks are probably not interested in underperforming forwards as they strive to make next years team concretely better. I could take it or leave it.
