If Tavares will waive and, as you've stated, the trade happens after his signing bonus is paid, I think CHI should be interested. I'm just not sure this is something TOR is actually interested in.

Toronto's rejects aren't going to fetch a top pairing D. Toronto really doesn't have much that Calgary would consider trading Andersson for. Assuming Matthews and Nylander would be off the table a package including Reilly or a package starting with Knies and a 2024 1st is about it.

This is a highly dependent deal for NSH.

1. It depends on how Svechkov is at camp. If Svechkov is ready and can make the team, then that free's NSH up to be more willing to let go of Sissons. Sissons is, unfortunately, one of NSH's better centers, as evidence that he was the 2C in the playoffs.
2. NSH would rather just hang onto the 4th pick and let you keep Coster. Coster gets lost in NSH's defensive pipeline and at best would just be an AHL'er.

If all of those are met, then I'd be good with that deal.
