Promising Young Offensive Defenseman in Casey
and a 4th line plug

for

a 30-40 goal / 75-80 point power forward. Sure he is the Captain of the team but I think its enough to get the Senators to move on

overall value is not an issue, the sens arent setting their timeline back again by trading tkachuk. If hes moved its for an instant contributor with upside in a role we dont have filled

A promising player that didn’t crack 40pts and will never be a high end top liner

An undersized D prospect

A 1st that is right outside the tier of high end players

For a likely

40+ goals 85-90pt power forward next year

They’d be trading a really good top liner for the equivalent of 3 2nd line / 2nd pair guys.

Not a move I would make

We can’t downgrade on high end talent . If we trade Brady it’s for 1 really good young piece

Ullmark is system goalie with one year left...that isn't worth it.

And Brady price, if moved, would be less too. Not going to cost more than Eichel.

I don't know Eichel had the health concerns and that whole thing around him. It would be pretty damn close to this offer that seals it

I would argue Tuch > Mercer in terms of team impact (but individual stats Mercer has more success there)
NJD Pick > VGK Pick
Casey < Krebs at the time of the trade (Krebs just didn't evolve into the player many thought he could be, could be the same with Casey I guess)
Bastian < 2nd

Brady = Eichel (In value with Eichel's injury concerns, maybe even slightly favoring Brady due to the style he plays)
