The Islanders just signed Tsyplakov. That would be a terrible move by a GM, and the NY Isles would lose credibility in signed all future Free Agents.
(And Zegras still won't happen with Habs. Zegras for Rossi or Necas seems more likely, talent wise, but not cap wise in Minnesota)

1. Habs aren't retaining that long and Wild likely have no interest, we are stuck hoping Anderson can rebound next year or buy him out in 2024-25 offseason.

2. Islanders don't even consider that, they just signed him and his value would be more along the lines of Beck than Trudeau.

3. Dallas is not even gonna look at that offer.

4. Not a horrible offer for Zegras but not a great one either, Ducks would be looking for an impact piece more than a package of just helpful pieces.

Anderson is really a shot in the dark kinda stuck with him, just learned about Tsyplakov kinda sad, i really think Stranges isnt cracking that roster anytime soon a change in scenery might be good for him and Zegras i really feel a trade could be found if all the needs are met for both teams

I agree with Stranges. See if you can offer a bit more of an enticing package. Maybe add Farrell instead. I think its possible.

had the title been ‘this is an unrealistic dream’, I would’ve withheld the comment.

Plug in the same feedback we’ve given well over 1,000 times in the last 6 months. We don’t care for Barron or any pick other than the ‘24 MTL 1st in a Zegras trade

The Calgary pick could easily become the 2025 Florida first. A future draft pick that could be in the bottom quarter of the first round is an unacceptable element in a trader for Trevor Zegras unless it's a throw-in.

Our standing offer remains: in the unlikely event that Zegras is on the market at all, we would want the Montreal 2024 first (fifth overall) plus someone like Owen Beck or Filip Mesar for him.
