Czech Scoring Line

Description
The Bruins want to build a deep team with a defensive identity. However, the Bruins also lack true scoring threats in their top six. They use the pick from the inevitable Ullmark trade to trade and sign Necas. Necas wants to play center and would be an ideal fit in between his fellow countrymen Zacha and Pastrnak. Necas is probably a point-per-game player on that line and could possibly reach 90 to 100 points on this scoring line and powerplay.

The Bruins resign Jake DeBrusk and Danton Heinen because they are solid two way players and mesh really well with the team. Then they sign Anthony Mantha to add size and checking to their top nine.

Poitras is now a cornerstone player on the Bruins, and would fit as a playmaking center in between Marchand and DeBrusk. This is a good 200ft line.

The third line of Frederic, Coyle, and Mantha is huge and relentless defensively. This is a great shutdown line.

The fourth line of Heinen, Beecher, and Geekie is a candidate for the best fourth line in the league.

The defense doesn't change and should improve with organic growth from Lohrei and Wotherspoon.

Fabian Lysell is the first forward called up if there is an injury in the top nine.

Obviously Swayman is resigned and Bussi is a young backup with potential.

Overall, I think this roster is deep and a nightmare to play against. This would not be the most talented roster in the league, but it could be the most balanced and versatile.

Going to cost way more than just a first round pick to trade Necas especially to Boston

Heinen and DeBrusk walk. Maroon comes back

Sweeney is likely going to leave a middle six spot up for grabs for either Lysell or Merkulov. You can't keep Lysell down another year. Therefore, the Mantha signing doesn't happen.

I think they find a vet 6/7 D with size. Wotherspoon plays the early days Connor Clifton role.

Not Sold on Necas, I think if you do get him, Carolina is going to end up with Ullmark.

Poitras stays on the 3rd line most likely unless he makes a big jump.

Even if JDB comes back. You need another impactful scoring forward. Maybe you find that in Lysell, but I think you need to bump Zacha down to the 3rd line ideally.

Good analysis. If JDB and Heinen walk, they have the space for another forward. As a Bruins fan, I am rooting for Lysell to make the team out of camp. Not sure if the organization likes him as much as the fans do.
