Adam Jecho Scouting Reports

Jecho has suited up for his home country, Czechia, at the U18 World Championships to end his season. He is used in all situations for Team Czechia.
Huge frame. When in the mood he can play with power and keep checking opponents at bay with his long reach / puck protection.
Solid skater who needs to play quicker and faster all the time. There are moments in games he paces his shifts.
When he pounces on turnovers, and identifies a 'route' to the net he knows how to score. Jecho possesses a fantastic release. He can shoot the puck hard and accurately in motion.
Leans goal scorer / shooter more than play maker / distributor.
Intriguing player who is likely a third line forward / second line spot duty at even strength / lands on the top power-play unit as a shooter from the weak side flank.

Jecho ended the year in Edmonton, with the Oil Kings, scoring 10G-7A in his last 20GP.
Overall he produced 23G-24A on the year.
On the rise.
Big body. Skating has improved. A threat, when up to speed, off the rush. Solid edges. Primary ice time comes at ES and PP but he's capable on the PK.
On the PP - makes plays from the flank and working high to low - good puck touch
On the PK his long reach is an asset, as is his large frame getting in shooting lanes
Despite his stature he isn't overly physical. He boxes out opponents but doesn't punish people physically. Potential second line upside in time. Might end up as a combination 2F/ 3F at the NHL level.

Big, strong, power frame.
Leans goal scorer more than distributor.
Honest. Competes. Gives all he has every shift.
Skating has room to improve. More explosiveness and open ice pace required for NHL game.
Sound hockey sense. Fronts the play on the PK. Gets in the lane to disrupt flow / potentially block shots.
Heavy along the wall. Hard to move out of the goalies eyes around the crease.
