In terms of defensive statistics, he had the worst plus/minus of any Flames defenceman at (-6).
A 2-way / Match-up 'D' who can be used as a 2PD or 3PD. Huge frame. Imposing. Physical. He dished out 181 and 174 hits the last two seasons.
Zadorov has a heavy shot and can attack off the rush. He scored 14 goals in 22/23.
There are times, in games, his spatial awareness and read / react game isn't on time. It's something to monitor in all three zones. Especially with offensive blue line exits.

Describing Zadorov as a 'Shut Down D' is not factual. He's much more of a '2-way D'. He scored 14G last season, and has shown he has the ability to lead the rush, direct pucks on net from range, and pinch down to extend plays in the offensive zone.
He absolutely brings a physical element. He's dished out 181 and 174 hits the past two years.
An area to monitor is when he gets caught standing still. It can happen in any zone. His read/react is sometimes off. Resulting in him defending / chasing his check from behind.

At his best when he keeps his game relatively simple. Does have the skating ability to lead the rush at times. Quickness and length to pinch down and keep plays alive in the offensive zone.
Huge frame. Physically imposing. When he times his gaps appropriately he swallows opponents with heavy checks.
Execution ranges. Read/React - especially from a stand still on the offensive blue line - can be better timed. Detail ranges overall.

Hulking 'D' who contributes heavy minutes in key match up scenarios at home and on the road.
Plays a physically punishing game. Not a ton of deception with the puck on his stick. Outlets adequately. Can be used as a #5 or #4 'D' depending on the make up of the group
Leans 'Defensive D'. Easily identified element. Averaged just shy of 17:00 TOI in 21/22 season. Mostly deployed at ES and PK.
