Offseason without Jeannot
I wouldn't mind Kase if he signs cheap, same time I worry if he's a top six player and truly healthy. Would love to see him thrive though

Yeah gonna take more to dump Sheary I'd imagine, and doubtful he'd waive to SJ. Even if he did SJ would need something more than a 4th going back their way to make it worth their time

If that's what Tampa has to pay just to dump Sheary to you guys, we'll either trade him somewhere else for less or just buy him out instead.

Definitely not moving Howard to dump 2 bad contracts. Rather settle for little to no return on Sheary/Jeannot than move one of our top prospects

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dunbar07</b></div><div>Like the thought of Utah, but do think I'd rather get a solid lower cap player than draft picks. Could possibly get behind trading for McBain and picks but I'm not sure if Utah goes for that.
Think you're underestimating Johnson a bit, guy is by no means the player he once was( I was a loud advocate for moving him a few seasons ago), but he's a solid bottom six guy. 30+ points in 3 of the last 5 years, that's better than anyone in the current bottom six an I think for a decent price he'd be a good guy to bring back (or maybe I'm just too high on him)
Goodrow I could take or leave, but he brings some of that physicality we'd lose if we move on from Jeano with the benefit of being a better player overall.</div></div>
Hey all valid points. I just think Glendening is doing fine as a 4th line and PKing Center, spending more on TJ and Sherwood isn't something we can really afford to do right now. We've got solid options like Goncalves and Finley in Syracuse waiting, and I think they're worth a look over any reunion, especially if it's cheaper in the long run.
With regards to physicality, I honestly think Niko Huuhtanen has a legitimate chance to make the squad out of camp, and on an ELC. Right shot forward too, something our lineup really lacks

Crazy Moves
Obviously not serious, but you've got to think if Utah is serious about winning over fans they'd probably part ways with assets for one of Cernak/Cirelli to bolster their squad. Doubtful they get moved instead of the usual suspects, but just something to think about
Love Reinhart but at that point I'd rather bring back Duke @ 3-3.5 and keep Cirelli

Yeah, we've already got Jeannot and his injury issues already over 2M, don't need to add another especially for another 2nd rounder

Utah has no defenseman under contract other than the rights to their RFAs. Trading Cernak there to a team that now needs to make a lasting impression on a new fanbase by showing a commitment to spend their draft assets benefits both parties.
I'm sorry, but reuniting with the holy ghosts of Barclay Goodrow and Tyler Johnson just don't seem like great ideas. Better investments to make with their cap hits, and TJ is far from the same player he once was.

I know that none of this is serious, but not because you've somehow managed to mess up the trade value of every player being moved

Sergachev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DopeGM</b></div><div>Especially a young core piece like Sergachev.
Cernak to Buffalo makes so much sense for both teams.
Sergachev happens to be floating around in my mind this AM because of McDonough and the possibility that Brisebois wants to sell while his injury history is still kind of settling in</div></div>
I personally had Cernak to Utah working out more - Utah has no defenseman under contract with the exception of rights to RFAs, and Cernak would be able to let guys like Durzi and Moser play a more offense oriented game while being under a long term contract. Tons of picks and with an ownership not afraid to spend/move assets to improve the squad, seems like a match made in heaven if TB can squeeze two 2nds out of them. If Cooper plays Sergachev on the right side it opens the possibility for Lilleberg (got some growing pains but still a very solid 3RD) and Crozier's cheap ELCs to take the 3rd pairing. If you're able to retain Perbix too, and let's say Sergachev does get injured, Hedman-Raddysh, McDonagh-Crozier, and Lilleberg-Perbix (last two are interchangeable) don't seem that awful in the greater scheme of things. Wouldn't even call it an injury history for Misha, just god awful luck with two bad leg injuries.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logicalicesports</b></div><div>Honestly, I think you need to move Sheary and one of Cirelli or Hedman now. That way you can keep Stammer</div></div>
I don't think BriseBois would willingly acquire a cap hit just under 7 million with McDonagh if there was no framework/structure in place on a Stamkos deal. He's said there's still money there even after the trade for a Stamkos deal, so truly I think all that matters is finding pieces that can replace one of/if not a combo of Jeannot/Sheary/Perbix. It's long overdue to give Goncalves, Crozier, and one of Huuhtanen/Groshev a chance at the NHL level. Can't be worse than Sheary @ 2M or Jeannot @ 2.whatever and his injuries.

Not enough for Cirelli. Tampa isn't going to move on from their PKing 2C one/two year(s) into his 8 year contract and remove a crucial piece from their top 6 just to get only McMichael in return. There's no need to dump Cirelli when there are other pieces like Sheary, Jeannot, and Perbix that we would be happy to settle for less on

Taking a shot at Cirelli
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>You seem to be in a similar situation as Boston last year. They gave up Taylor Hall for Ian Mitchell and Alec Regula. I’d expect similar value. You may even have to pay to get rid of some of those guys.</div></div>
Sheary for sure. Might be better to just buy him out and carry the ~550k in the long run for 4 years. Tanner might have some positive value still, seems like an Isles player, and I'm guessing Perbix can easily find a home - 1 year left for an RD who set a career high of 24 points in his second year @ 1.125M in a majority 3rd pairing role has got to get some suitors for a good price for sure.

Sergachev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DopeGM</b></div><div>Really? I could see Cernak instead but I’m not sure how they fill out the roster? Or no Stamkos</div></div>
Yeah I had an ACGM where I shipped out Cernak and he's the one piece that can kind of preserve the majority of the core. He's coming off a down year so I'm not sure what value we'd get, but I think he seems like the most likely casualty with guys like Crozier and Schmidt in the system.
Hedman-Raddysh, McDonagh-Sergachev (lefty with RD experience), and Lilleberg-Crozier? Coop loved Lilleberg-Croz in Syracuse, and the only thing stopping TB from running with Crozier was the cap last season. If Cernak's on the way out I think we might see this?
I think TB might just go heavy on the left with Hedman, Sergachev, and McDonagh with 3LD minutes while keeping Raddysh, Cernak, and Crozier/Perbix if he stays.
If we move TJ, Sheary, and/or Perbix, we'd have enough for Stamkos + and ELC player developing in the top six, plus space for maybe a 22 man roster. Might take more work and more phone calls to make it happen, but I'd rather gut the bottom six from expensive pieces and preserve our top 6/top 4 d-men than lose a crucial piece.

Jeannot (though he's not much of a dump, just bad injury luck) and Sheary (for sure a dump), and getting anything of value for Perbix. Cheaper and safer than Cernak/Cirelli/Sergachev

I don't think Sergachev is on the move. Odds are Cooper might experiment and he plays the right side next season paired with McDonagh.
Solid chance they just shop Jeannot/Perbix and trade or buyout (if they can't trade) Sheary instead to get their savings
