Bare Minimum
I think your UFA signings are very realistic. Not sold on Roslovic as the 2nd line center, but who else do we have, so I suppose it makes sense. I might re-sign Entwistle over Raddysh, but that's splitting hairs, they're interchangeable.

I don't think there is any way the Hawks do this trade. Marner is a great player, but this trade blows up the rebuild and given all the Hawks other needs does not improve the team at all.

Respectively disagree. Turcotte hasn't come near his upside yet, either in Ontario or LA. He's going to need to be a top six player, and he hasn't shown the ability to do that in the NHL yet (I understand he's behind Kopitar, Danault and Dubois). I know that Dach has had injury concerns, but he's slated to be a middle six forward who's willing to go to the front of the net, which the Hawks need more than another speedy center.

Re-Build On the Fly
I don't see the Hawks wanting to trade Dach, particularly for Turcotte who hasn't shown much so far. They've also had Englund and let him walk so I doubt they want him again, especially where the blue line is where the Hawks have the most depth.

Seth to Utah
I'm not crazy about trading Seth. He's played better than people are giving him credit for. Is he overpaid? Yes but only by maybe $1MM. Not a problem cap wise for the Hawks. As far as the trade goes, I'm okay with it although given the depth of defensemen and lack of depth at forward in this draft, I might be tempted to take Demidov at #2 and then a defenseman like Silayev, Buium or Dickinson at #6. I'm thinking though that the more likely scenario is that Seth stays ad Utah signs Roy and Chatfield and then drafts a defenseman.

Next Year
Great job here. Very realistic. Not sure that I'd bring Zaitsev back though. I think it says something that Richardson only dressed 5 defensemen in the last game in LA despite Zaitsev's availability. Also, I think that they'll be an upgrade in goal over Soderblom.

Reichel Contract
If Davidson could get Reichel for 8 years with an AAV of $3MM, he should be arrested for robbery as that would be a better deal than Vlasic got. Short term though, I agree with 2-years at $1MM-$1.5MM. Showed some great flashes but still has a lot to prove.

I would agree that they'll probably go back for at least one more year, particularly since Snuggerrud said he's coming back to Minnesota. Think they need a little more refining.

Love your avatar name (big SCTV fan), but don't like the Chicago trade. For the Hawks (or anyone for that matter) to take on three years of Ryan Reaves and his 5 minute TOI every game, it's going to take a lot more than 3 5ths. Also, other than possibly Akthiamov, none of the other players coming to Chicago move the needle for me (we've been down the Kamph road before).

Hawks decline. Beauvillier is "just a guy" and the Hawks have a ton of those already. To give up Dach (who they're hoping at a minimum could be a middle six guy) and a 3rd round pick is way to much to give up.

Blackhawks trade No 2
Hawks have no interest in Klingberg (already have Korchinski for that role as offensive defenseman) and absolutely no interest in Reaves (why did the Leafs sign this guy for 3 years?). I think given that the Leafs are going to have to try to sign Nylander, they'll need the Hawks to keep salary on Murphy for the deal to work, and just a #1 draft pick won't be enough.

Fixing this team
The Hawks have enough 4th line guys who can't score so just taking Connor Brown without some additional incentive (maybe the 2025 4th) probably won't happen. The amount of the contract and term are good, but Brown has always been "just a guy". Hawks have plenty of those.

I'm hoping that by 2025-2026, with the young talent coming aboard, we are in a position to upgrade our free agent acquisitions and get "the guy" much like the like the Cup teams added Campbell and Hossa. We'll certainly have the cap space.

Not saying that your forward lineup will at some point look like that, but, it sounds like Bedard will be a center, at least on opening night. I could see Reichel sliding down to #2, TJ moving to his right wing and Raddysh moving to Bedard's #1 right wing. On defense, I would agree that either Vlasic or Phillips would be in there. I can't see Richardson going with 3 rookies in Kaiser, Vlasic and Phillips on a nightly basis, but injuries could change that.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Sorry, but I disagree with your assessment. If you watch Korchinski play, he has a lot of work to do on his defensive play in his own zone. The best place for him to work on that is in Seattle, playing big minutes every night. Not playing every other night and getting his butt kicked. He's not an NHL ready defensive player yet. Hawks rushed Boqvist to the NHL and he's still a bad defender. Learn from your mistakes.</div></div>
Where Korchinski really belongs is in Rockford, but given the CHL agreement that's not possible. I don't think he's ready for the NHL, but I don't think he's got anything else to prove in juniors. It's a tough call.

If you look at the contracts the Hawks gave out, yes, they overpaid to get to the floor, but all these deals are for one year. The Hawks have made the floor and Granlund has two years left. Davidson has leverage here, so like Snowhawk 18 said, they're going to want a significant package coming back to take on Granlund's contract.

Yeah, I don't disagree with you, but I think Davidson said that to ensure that unlike last year, when the Hawks had no NHL goalie on their roster and probably needed to swap the picks in the Mrazek deal, this year they would have better leverage, since he has two goalies set for next year. So if the deal is Murray and the 3rd next year, with nothing going back, the Hawks should accept.

I don't think the Hawks would be interested in Ceci. The return for the cap dump is too light, especially with Ceci having two years left on his contract, but seeing how few draft choices the Oilers have, I can see why you only added those picks, so I think that the Hawks pass.

I agree that it's probably time to move on from Mitchell but I sort of disagree that the Hawks didn't do right by him. To me he's probably a #5 or #6 defenseman who has unfortunately had injuries and has been passed by guys like Phillips, Vlasic, Kaiser, and coming soon Del Mastro, Allan, and Korchinski. Doesn't have any stand out skills (i.e. skating, passing, shooting). Seems like a good kid, but timing was the timing just didn't work out for him.
