It's apparently been GM by committee for a while now, with Tulsky and Darren Yorke making a lot of the calls. Tulsky has been behind a lot of the Canes drafting success so for that aspect I'm not too concerned. Other organizations have been trying to poach Tulsky away, so the Canes may have let Waddell walk in order to create space for Tulsky to be their full time GM.
Tulsky is kind of an interesting story. He has a PhD in Chemistry from Harvard. He started out as a Flyers fan blogger in the early 2010s, got hired as an analyst in 2014, worked his way up to Assistant GM and now he's a full GM of an NHL team. Who knows, maybe the GM of a cup winning team in 2040 is posting ****ty Marner trade proposals on this website right now.

Seems like he has been filling the role as a mentor to those guys really well. Columbus is probably looking for something similiar if they were to bring aboard someone like Rick Nash in an AGM role

Agreed.
It was either Dirty or Karma depending on your allegiance but it was a punch in the face.
Also, goalie interference. Is the onus on Coyle to keep his skates?

Josh Morrisey and Kyle Connor have been the only consistent threats but the Avs have been able to push them to the perimeter. The lack of jam and sustained commitment to the forecheck has been surprising since that's what killed us in the regular season against the Jets.
Captain Lowry has been a null factor since game 1

I think you got to like what else he brings, or can do - honest to gawd grit/toughness, 200-footer.
PIT is soft...
I'd sooner re-sign Fred then trade so that too makes the earlier offer easy to pull!</div></div>
So i guess i should add Fredric to my list of good options for Pittsburgh, Putting him on a line with Crosby but especially Malkin could help the Pens a lot, And Rust is a good player for 2W

1st and Durzi for Jake Muzzin.

Dubas was awful. Rookie GM. In over his head. Arrogant and stupid, relied too much on analytics, made awful trades, overpaid his RFA stars, never got a number 1 goalie, hired a rookie AHL coach, built a soft D core. He was a horrible GM.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CantStopWontStop</b></div><div>Anybody have a guess on Chychrun’s trade value and next contract?
Revisiting his last trade, he went for a sub 16 draft pick (unknown at time and top 5 protected), a 2nd, and a 2nd 2 years later.
I’m finding him very comparable to Vince Dunn and his 4 year, 7.35AAV, and acquiring him gets you next season at his current aav of 4.6.
I wonder if Ottawa gets back “more” than they paid, primarily because Chychrun played all 82 games this past season, and the acquiring team would be extending at the time of trade. I think they can flip him for more.
I dunno if my blues would be involved but the left side of our d is going to change eventually, one way or the other.</div></div>
Personally, I would keep Chychrun and move Chabot out if I were Ottawa.
Sanderson is the absolute stud of the future there and they need a RD complement to him (a defensively responsible partner) to allow Sanderson to push the play. Pesce would be ideal but Demelo or Matt Roy would be in the mix.
Chychrun-Zub as their 2nd pair would be ideal. If they strike out on their top pair targets then maybe Sean Walker and bump Zub up to the top pair.
