Savoie might be an idea for Utah, but not sure what the need is in Buffalo to make it make sense at the moment.</div></div>
I think Buffalo is looking for a shut down type RD
And a solid defensive 3C who can win faceoffs & play a bit of a 2way game at least
Other than that, maybe a bottom6 Pk guy or 2
My assumption, based on all I’ve read/seen is that the Sabres are looking to continue developing their young talent & not looking to make the big splashy moves u see on this site from desperate fans

Kulich & Savoie are complementary pieces at this point
Cozens is an untouchable core piece
Idk what else to tell ya?
Sabres aren’t moving him
They wouldn’t have traded Mittelstadt if they were willing to trade Cozens

Sorry my friend but there is not a soul on the planet that could defend any of these trades. You might better delete the thread and start again, I can give you a starting point on all of them if it helps.
Utah: this is the easiest fix just retain half on Dvo and its golden.
Anaheim: Hab's 2024 1st + Jet's 2024 1st for Zegras + Edmonton's 2024 1st
Necas: Barron + Mesar (1st + 2nd or 3rd equivalent)
Buffalo: this one is tough, maybe Dach + Mailloux + the Flames 1st. It is gonna be extremely costly.

Not to say any ufas rushing to Buffalo. So ya probably best to keep building from within, quite a team coming.</div></div>
The Sabres can get out of Skinner’s contract fairly painlessly after next season
Pick 6 is nice, just not needed, as the Sabres already have plenty of young talent
And they’re trying to win sooner than later,
so moves like this just don’t at all seem to be what they’d be looking to do

U must have missed the part about Buffalo not looking to get rid of Skinner
And the part about having enough Cap Space
Your proposal doesn’t give the Sabres anything they NEED
Just more of what they already have & a hole at 2C

Sure, it makes total sense from the Utah perspective
But why would Buffalo want to move him?
Maybe before they traded away Mittelstadt, but now it just doesn’t make sense for them as they’d just be looking to fill their 2C role like u guys are

It would tempt some fans on here I’d think
But in real life, the Sabres aren’t looking to get rid of Skinner,
have enough Cap Space, & Cozens is pretty much untouchable

Perhaps the 'Couzins' you're talking about is not the same Cozens we in Sabreland know and will be watching as a two-way, 2C that's locked up the next six years at a very fair, in the least, contract.

Good thing he’s already locked in at $7 million for the next handful of years. So they can enjoy him scoring 30 goals a year for awhile. If he were overpaid you wouldn’t want him.
I’m sure you’ve been watching him in the world championships, which is why you’ve posted this.

Reilly Smith to the Sabres would not be a bad idea. The Sabres could benefit from a top six forward. Their third line should be an alternate second line with 2LWA, 2CA, and 2RWA. The Penguins could use draft picks, assets the Sabres could part with this offseason.

This board will be pure entertainment when the leafs trade Marner for a 2025 first and a prospect OR when they hold on to him to start the year because no team wants to take on his cap hit.
