Include one of Howard or Gauthier? I was really only looking at roster players. I'll update it

Add both…it would be a spit in the bucket. McAvoy is a top-5 dman in the league.

Dont disrespect 50 goal scorer Brayden Point like that. A Point for McAvoy 1 for 1 would be crazy but I dont think I would like that as a Lightning fan

I'll give you top 10 no doubt but top 5 would take some convincing

Hughes, Heiskanen, Josi, Hedman, and Dahlin are in that conversation. I think on any given day they could be mixed and matched to be top 5. That's why I'd say top 10 no question but top 5 could be any combination of those guys.

Point for McAvoy would be very interesting but I think that trade makes Boston a better team than Tampa so as a Lightning fan I wouldn't do it.

Sorry, I meant RD. Same list as yours for all dmen.

I don’t think Cernak and Cirelli gets far for any of them at age 26.

Josi>McAvoy but that won't last long. Hughes has taken a step forward but I still think McAvoy is more well rounded. McAvoy holds at #5. Heiskenan and Dahlin just don't have the same impact on the game. Hedman lost a step.

Hedman scored at a point per game between the regular season and playoffs. And while +/- is a dumb stat he did lead the Lightning there by a wide margin. So I'm not sure what you saw from him this year but he is still an elite player and deserves to be in the top 5 conversation.
