SEA will select one of Silayev/Dickinson/Buium at 8, they don’t have to move up.
MTL aren’t trading for Sharangovich and definitely not paying that money AND those assets

Owen Beck for Sharangovich 1 for 1 does not make sense to me. Yet alone adding so many other prospects, players and picks. Very poor asset management. (I agree that Harris and Farrell have been frustrating at times this season, but that does not mean they are worth nothing. Harris is not going anywhere unless a 2nd comes back, or he is part of a larger package. Farrell would need to be flipped for a seemingly interesting prospect in return.)

The VGK trade is fair based on pick value, and could happen. (Especially if someone like Sennecke is still on the board.)

If Seattle wants to move up. Then, I would ask for a package: 8OA + 40OA + Jani Nyman, otherwise more picks are not very useful in my opinion.

I would not do the Colorado trade. Would rather have the 2nd in 2025 from Pittsburgh, as well as keeping the 40OA this year.

Buium is above Dickinson and Silayev by a significant marge. Seattle already is loaded with offensive talent in their pipeline. Trading up for Buium make total sense if they believe he is their guy.
And Sharangovich is the exact prototype of player Hugues and Gorton are looking for.

Buium is my favorite defenseman, but Anton Silayev is not going later than 6th OA (Bill Armstrong will draft him if CBJ don’t). Levshunov is going 3rd to ANA and OTT are taking either a F or RHD. There’s a lot of chance Buium is there at 8th OA

Sennecke won’t be their at 19th, he won’t make it past the Devils.
As for Sharangovich, you need to pay a certain price to acquire a big goal scorer. Owen beck is clearly not enough. I like him a lot but is ceiling is limited and Calgary will ask for more. Based on what Vancouver gave for Lindholm, this is a package that could very likely make it done.

I don’t think he will. I think Columbus Ottawa and Utah will split Buium, Parekh and Silayev. Seattle would have to settle for Dickinson who is solid but not near Buium ceiling in my opinion. Dickinson have very limited offense and is much likely a second pair shutdown guy. Seattle could benefit from Buium offensive skill.

I agree Sennecke will not be there.

Sharangovich doesn't make any sense for that much. (And if the Flames are as high as you are on him, they would not even part ways with him.)
