A $6.5m JT gets more than that, I'd wager. And if not, don't really see the point for the Leafs.

Well, he has a NMC. So it would have to be both a team he wants to go to, that wants him and can afford him.

Obviously it's no shoo in he would say yes to buffalo, hence my point about proximity to southern Ontario and family ties

It frees up 6.5 million in cap. Seems helpful

6.5 mil to improve on Tavares at 2C or replace him adequately and improve elsewhere… seems unlikely
