Back at the 2015 draft I was hoping Mitch would drop to the devils. While I’d love him, I don’t think the team would be wise to add another huge contract to their top 6. Not really what the team is looking for right now.

I actually would be willing to move on from Hamilton to make space for Nemec and clear cap space.

In reality he can’t really be shopped because of his NMC, but imo if a team offers a late 1st+prospect/roster player, I’d take it and make it a lot easier on our long term cap structure.

Not sure marner as a very expensive rental would be the target (and haula wouldn’t waive) but I wouldn’t be opposed to a trade like this tbh.
