Keefe was the reason why this group was a regular season team only and too soft for the playoffs (the WHOLE team, not just Marner).

As a Devils fan…would be curious what his blind spot is.

Keefe was a Dubas follower, Dubas is a type of guy who looks at things on paper and doesn't believe that the real world outcome would be different.

He'll probably land in Pit real soon, just like Spezza left his Toronto office job to find a job with Dubas.

Devils beat reporters and some national reporters are saying Devils are leaning towards Keefe (Novozinsky, Friedman, Pagnotta, etc).

Kevin Weekes had been pushing the Sullivan to NJD thing. He is close with Devils brass (lives in Jersey, pals with Broduer)…and has often broken management type stories (like Lindy’s extension, Brunette hiring, and Hischier being named captain). So he is usually a trusted source on these types of things.

At first, NJD interviewing Keefe sounded like they were trying to nudge Dubas to free up Sullivan. But from reports over last 24 hours, it is sounding like he may be front runner here.

NJ has to trade for him, that way the penguins aren't on the hook for that 5mil cap hit. Sully probably wants paid by both. Pens won't do that.
So if Sully wants to be in NJ and NJ wants him, they need to offer up a 7th or something for him.
