The Sabres get a college prospect that might not sign for a prospect that is already signed. Doesn't make much sense from an asset management standpoint.

I think Oslund only getts moved for a vet. If you need a Sabres prospect for Snuggs, i think Rosen would be the one.

This is a HORRIFIC idea.

1 - The Blues do not desperately need a C. At all.
2 - Even if they did, Ostlund is almost certainly going to be a W in the NHL - which he is not ready for.
3 - The Blues don't like small Cs even if he will be a C.
4 - Most importantly, Snuggerud is worth far more than that.

Rosen is nooooowhere near enough to get Snuggerud, who is not available anyway.

Not sure about better, Ostlund is already playing against professionals and playing well. I do like Snuggerud, and adding a Sabres legacy is a nice touch too.

Not a chance, Blues need shoot-first players, which is the definition of Jimmy Snugs.

We need a short term 2C. While Dvorsky gets to a point where he's an NHL regular.

This makes no sense, especially when you consider it's not really solidified whether Stenberg is a Center or a winger.

The logic is flawed.

Never said I don't like Rosen. But he ain't fetching Snuggerud, who is earmarked for Thomas' top line wing. That's like a top 25 prospect for a maaaybe top 75 prospect. If that.

Might not sign because he wanted to go back for one more year? Dumb...Also Snuggerud is rated much higher as a prospect than Ostland. Hard pass by Blues.

The uncertainty of him waiting it out and becoming a free agent doesn't make this viable.

He wanted to go back to college for one year. Said he is signing with the Blues as soon as his season ends. An uncertainty is made up conjecture.

It's a different situation after this trade though. The uncertainty is always there until he actually signs.

Buffalo's last three 2nd round picks haven't signed yet - Maxim Strbak, Topias Leinonen, and Prokhor Poltapov. Are you fearful that they are not going to sign?
