I just like my teams better, do you expect me to say yes to deal that doesn’t help my team? Saying yes to a Marner for Saros deal for me is like you saying you would give up Matthews for Petey(which I’m assuming you’re against). I said the deal is fine value-wise. It’s just Trotz wants to keep Saros to mentor Askarov, which makes sense.

Probably shouldn’t scratch Nylander after he lit it up for this team at the end of the season.

Prepare for comments bud.
Marner trade is OK(value-wise, not great for the Preds situation wise).
Canes’ll easily match that offer sheet, Glass has more value, we are not rolling with Lankinen as our starter and we’d sign a righty(like Pesce or Montour) over Zadorov for the top pair.

Nucks pass. Cost for Hronek starts at Liljegren, Minten and a 1st(you guys don’t have a 2nd, so we’ll send you a 4th + Woo with Hronek)

Preds laugh and hang up. No thank you. Sissons is a keeper. Drop the 1st and we’d still probably decline. Trotz wants Saros to mentor Askarov at least until TDL.

Honestly feel that there’s no need to give that up for Buch, he’s great, but you can solve that problem for cheap in FA.

If we do, it ain’t gonna be for that.
Try adding Minten and a 1st(we’ll add a prospect like Woo or Sasson)

Tough puzzle to crack
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yikes</b></div><div>Zettergoat*
Howard’s a fine prospect - but ideally he’d become what Zetterlund is developing into - a scoring winger. But Zetterlund has strength, grit, and compete. He works hard, and drives rushes often. He shoots the puck - which yes, is something important as many players dont. If Zetterlunds upward swing was even to slow a little - he’d still probably be a great middle 6 winger on a cup contender. If he can keep building on what he’s done and develop his game more - he’ll become a solid top 6 winger for a cup contender - which for the Sharks is the #1rw lol.
Zetterlund I think signs a long term extension soon.
You’d offer all that for a prospect?</div></div>
For Cirelli.

Cernak may be overpaid, but he still provides value night in and night out. Canes don’t need KK like TB needs Cernak.

Drop Josi for Tomasino, Del Gaizo and Pars and it’s a deal.

That's nice to hear he stuck with it. All the more reason to like a player like him.
Only makes me sadder that he's gone :(

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blueman96</b></div><div>(1) Is McDonagh that good still?
(2) Is Tampa hurting on D that badly?
Yea this one is just confusing to me. Tampa seems like the last team in the NHL that can take on a soon-to-be 35 year old at $6+ AAV...</div></div>
1. Yes, still clocks in more than 20 minutes a night, he's a great leader, and while the stats might not show it, he is still an amazing player. Blocks shots, makes smart defensive moves, not much of an offensive contributer anymore(still gets 25-30 pts though) and gives 100%.
2. Their D kinda sucks until this addition. Gives them back the top 4 you can win a cup with. Perbix and Raddysh aint cutting it.

While we clear cap space and a roster spot, I don’t like this deal. McDonagh is a great leader and has played rlly well. He’s also helpful with regards to instilling a winning culture. Gonna miss him a lot.

Wasn’t a big problem for us. In every ACGM, we could add a few great FAs and we’d be fine until the deal was over.
