trading up
To be fair Kyrou has heavy expectations, bringing in Eiserman eventually to a top 9 including Snuggerud and Dvorsky would make us contenders for the long haul.
This would be a killer third line
Eiserman Dvorsky Snuggerud

I would be willing to do some sort of deal for Binner, but I really have no interest in moving Parayko and gaining Marner, for a year.....StL is not the place that has 10 million dollar players, they go somewhere where there is a coast....

No on both, if we move Buch we can get better than that. I don't think NR gets into our top nine and we have a backup in waiting so Woll is of no interest either.

Yes, I would bite on that. Our window is probably in four or five years and Holtz obviously needs a change of scenery but I think we are resigning Buch for the long haul he has been excellent for us.

I will never understand Toronto fans, every single armchair gm for Toronto is trying to move Marner out and not one armchair gm is trying to move Parayko from Blues fans. Yall can keep your ten million dollar cancer clearly you don’t want him.

The trade starts here
Not a bad offer, but at this point I think Blues extend him. And I certainly can't see them retaining, the offer would have to be ridiculous. We have two top prospects probably coming into play next year in Snuggerud and Dvorksy which will make us contenders. Buch will be a part of that team unless someone offers the moon.

Heard, Hayes did pretty well in New York didn't he? I see most rangers fans saying No to a return... Really the entire armchair is about teams moving pieces that don't seem to be fitting with their teams. Krebs and Vrana have been scratched as of late.

Montreal already has loads of young forwards on the roster and Roy and Farrell knocking on the door. I don’t really feel like Habs have that game changing dman yet
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GuyGuyGuy</b></div><div>No but he has teams getting picks in the details section</div></div>
Just loosely based on play, you figure there’s a top ten a bottom ten and everyone in between.

He obviously didn't work out in Pittsburgh but he's been a much better player for the Blues. A late second might be too high but I feel like his market with his contract is a late second or third round pick.

I do lets be honest someone will be hurt there will always be cap space most of Devils players have decent contracts if one person gets hurt they could swing it. Nemec is a RHD Leddy is LHD and only has 3 years left. and a deadline deal really only 2 years and a few months. I'd Imagine next years top six being Siegenthaler Hamilton - Hughes Marino - Leddy Nemac
Regardless I more interested to see if Devils fans are willing to move Casey

I don't think you are wrong, but I think with the team we have we have to play matchups. I liked the chemistry Vrana and Kyrou were building they need a big body center. Eventually it will be Dvorsky. It seemed like Buch Thomas and Kap was looking like a solid line. Hoping Blais and Neighbors can keep building on what they started. Saad and Schenn have played together a lot I expect that to continue. This is the biggest ask for Toropchenko. I could see a fourth line of Blais Toro and Sunny too.

An idea to change the dynamic of the draft
I have an idea to try and shrink the time it takes to get the worst teams in the league back to playoff contention. The idea would be to...
-reduce the draft lottery to the bottom five teams (all with equal chance to win)
-give the team who wins the draft lottery the first two picks.
-the team that wins the lottery does not get a first round pick in the next years draft.
-expansion team gets first picks
Unless you are running into years where it is a drastically bad draft this puts any team who wins a clear path towards a competitive team in the next few years and keeps fan bases of the worst teams excited for whats to come. Just going back to the Mcdavid Draft.
Oilers get Mcdavid and Eichel
Mapleleafs get Mathews and Laine
Devils getting Hischier and Patrick/makar (weak draft year)
Sabres getting Dahlin and Svechnikov (weak draft year)
Devils get Hughes and Kakko
Rangers get Lafreniere and Byfield
Kraken get Power and Beniers
Montreal takes Wright/Cooley and Slafkovsky
Chicago takes Beddard and Carlsson
Only Devils won it twice and they'd be Cup contenders with these players. Anaheim is probably next on this list and adding a first and second overall to them makes them Cup Contenders. Or a team like San Jose it puts back towards contention. It also puts two future big dollar players on teams who win.
Thoughts?

While I am not disappointed I think most of us would have wanted Moore. Dvorsky has a brilliant shot but he will need to be around quick players.

HockeyBuzz 2023 Draft Im picking for STL
Whomever we draft I hope its someone with Kyrou in mind. Bolduc is going to wind up with Thomas and Buch. Snuggerud and Kyrou with a high speed/skill player could be deadly.
1. Moore
2. Benson
3. Leonard
4. Reinbacher
5. Willander
Any of these players at 10 I'm happy. I would prefer to go forward over defense but Reinbacher and Willander fill fit into the team.

I think I was ready to go with Moore/Willander with our first two picks but Willander has shot up draft boards making it unrealistic. Smith and Moore really fit the direction this team is headed and to not get one of them would really suck. I would rather not spend the ten pick on a defenseman when there will be a dynamic offensive player available. We do not have a long term 2C and that has to be a bigger priority than a strong defensive dman to go with Krug. I also can’t say I’m wanting to grab another LHD when we have Perunovich, Buchinger, Loof and Rosen already. I like the idea of Jordan Tourigny with our first 3rd round pick. I keep coming back to Gauthier because he’s a front of net goal scorer who’s proven it on the international stage with a solid +/- and not many of our prospects are like him.

Also I’m sure you’ve looked at next years draft, it’s packed with LHD and the player we grab with next years first round pick would be better than Molendyk or Price. I’d also like to see Perunavich, Loof and Buchinger get a chance before adding to an area we have reasonable depth at.

I wasn’t saying they were centers, just that is where we are weak. I said since we already drafted a center and rhd I could see them looking at other players. I’ve watched hours of film on everyone that could go in first including Ritchie, he just doesn’t blow me away. I think I like Perron’s upside more.
