Toronto wouldn't offer that trade and if they did TJ would probably nix it anyways. If everything fell into place and this trade was offered, Chicago should accept instantly imo.

There's a good chance that Chicago could find a quality bottom six guy with one of those picks. They don't need any more bottom six guys right now but I'm sure they will in 4-5 years when those picks are developed.

I think Richardson would absolutely LOVE Trouba on this roster but I 100% agree that it costs NYR to unload him because of his contract.

I'm not sure playoff performance is a selling point for Chicago in the near future. His only value to Chicago would be the sweetener attached, and two 5th for a 7th isn't enticing. On top of that, he's overpaid relative to his value which makes him a luxury that most contenders can't afford.

For sure. Just giving you a glimpse of how we view a Mikheyev trade. Realistically, we don't want/need Mikheyev and he really doesn't fit the direction this team is headed. His only value here would be the pick included to dump him. Maybe as a translator for Demidov in '25-'26 too. Either way, we're all better together if we share this stuff with other fanbases so we're all smarter in the end. Cheers!

Chicago has no need for Kampf nor would that trade draft capital for his services. He has value to the right team but Chicago is not that team.

I think his upside is huge. He's already proven at 22 that his floor is that of a 4-5 guy on a playoff team, but more importantly his ceiling is that of a solid top 4 physical 2-way defender and a guy that could compliment Korchinshi for years.

I'm sure some of it did but the fact that he was the only guy skill wise that could hang with Bedard says a lot about him. I was expecting a breakout season from him this year with or without Bedard. His production did dip a bit when Bedard got injured though.

That's a very compelling offer. I think Chicago thinks long and hard about it. Kurashev and Bedard have chemistry but I think any quality winger will find chemistry with him. Ultimately I think Chicago accepts this one.

Not to sound critical but you're all over the place here with the Chicago trade. First you want an autographed Bedard jersey, then you want Chicago style pizza (deep dish or thin crust is the big debate in Chicago) then you just want a large pepperoni pizza. You've gotta make up your mind brother! May I interest you in some Portillos instead? That's probably the thing I miss most since I moved away.

Hawks aren't moving Murphy for Mikheyev. They wouldn't even take Mikheyev for FC. It's well established that it'll cost to dump him.

For a 7th? I think Chicago accepts. Yes Voit is undersized but probably better that anyone available at that pick and he's only 20. His talent is undeniable and he could be a gem.

If you're lucky Lou will just hang up on you instead of cursing you out for wasting his time before hanging up on you.</div></div>
Now that would be downright mean albeit well warranted of Lou. I agree Nelson is worth more than this proposal. I also think Chicago would be the wrong team to acquire him since he's a pending UFA after next season. For a team in the cusp of the playoffs like the Islanders, they should be adding Nelson type of players not dealing them. I think the more logical targets would be Lee or JGP, both of whom would provide needed cap space if they were traded.

Agreed. The prospects involved in this proposal are B level prospects at best. I'm sure there could be 30 better offers for your pick than this one imo.

I'd accept and retain 50% on Skinner and see if Carolina bites a part of a Necas trade. I think Skinner at $3M solves a few of Carolina's cap concerns. If not Carolina I'm sure there's a team out there that would love Skinner at $3M.
All this assumes that he waives.

For FC I could see Chicago accepting. I think his value equals the cap relief they're providing Pit. And if Bedard can help pad Smith's stats, he could be a nice trade chip at next year's TDL.
