Most definitely. What a breath of fresh air he's been for Fiala. It's amazing that most combinations with Fiala felt like oil and water but with Boldy, it's a perfect compliment.

This is 100% an indicator then that Dumba or Fiala are on the move. Dumba makes the most sense.
Also, I'm with you. He seems to be just a beast on the GREEF line, but almost non-existent on any other line. It's funny because I saw JFresh's player card and it mirrored exactly what you see on the ice. It's a perfect example of "eye test" and analytics matching up perfectly.

Gonna be unpopular opinion but I think with this, Rodrigues is gone for next season as since Malkin came back his production has dropped from that incredible run he had filling in for him.
But hey someone will go overpay for him to bring him in as their 2c (Minnesota maybe) and Nylander (Alex) can take his spot on the wing come 2022-2023</div></div>
The moment I read "Minnesota maybe" made me think of that god awful Martin Hanzal trade. I sure hope Billy Guerin doesn't do this and learn from Chuck Flether's mistake

Rossi and Boldy called up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>Honestly, depending on how practice goes. It might work, it might not. But I would hesitate to put two rookies on a line with Fiala. Because, as much as I love him, it's still Fiala. That's asking for trouble.
Having a single rookie on a line is safer all things considered, and I wouldn't be surprised if they split them up and give Rossi his shot with Kaprizov and Zuccarello from the get go. It's honestly giving him the highest chance to succeed right away. Same with Boldy. Furthermore, it comes down to better line balance. Kap and Zucc get the dynamic playmaking scorer their line truly needs and Fiala gets the gritty defensive minded but skilled enough to compliment him line that <em>he</em> needs.
Kaprizov-Rossi-Zuccarello
Fiala-Hartman-Boldy
That's what I hope to see. If it doesn't work, then, move them around. Until both Rossi and Boldy get some experience up with the big club, I'd rather keep them off separate lines.</div></div>
Definitely split the rookies up. I don't want to see two players making their debut on the same line. Eventually the goal will be Fiala-Rossi-Boldy but let them get their feet wet before diving in the deep end.

Heading for a tight Cap
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Diliano</b></div><div>The wild are in for a heavy Salary Cap burden. This thread is for discussing options and what everything means that has and will happen in the next four seasons. Starting in 21-22 the cap concerns aren't here yet but as of 22-23 it kicks in going from 4.75 mil to 12.75 mil dead space. In 23-24 and 24-25 it tops out at 14.75 mil dead cap. The 4 years after it only lingers with a total of 1.67 mil against the cap.
The cap will go up eventually but as of now nobody knows when that will be. The goal here is to spitball ideas at the wall and see what possibilities are out there.
Please be respectful of other people and no trolling. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so let's keep it civil.</div></div>
Honestly, we will probably be bargain hunting for the forseeable future. Just like yesterday, we aren't going in necessarily with players in mind but a price in mind. If we can only spend so much, we can only purchase what's available and not necessarily what we want. Dean Evason and the coaching staff will have their work cut out for them for the next 4 years.

I would rather have Khovanov. The jury may still be out on if he will be good or if he'll be a bust, but I want to at least find out. We know what McCann is and he's a borderline 2C/3C. I'd like McCann but I'd rather trade a wing prospect for him (since that's the only position we have a surplus of).

To be completely honest, if we were the worst team in the league, Suter probably still wouldn't waive. He does have a desire to win but I think he loves his family and hometown(Wisconsin) more than he does winning. So even if we just absolutely sucked, he probably would be content right where he is. No sources for that information, just a vibe I'm getting from him.

I agree. I know Colorado was still far superior in skill to us, but the fact we took Vegas to 7 and they were able to beat the Avs in 6, makes me feel so much more optimistic about the direction of this franchise.

Guerin still has a lot of work to do, but I don't think his job is impossible.</div></div>
Exactly my thoughts. If we sell the farm for Eichel, it'd be such a huge risk and I kind of want to grow from within at this point. We just need to keep building on the foundation that's there.

As for “playoff” version of a player analysis, that’s a pretty reactionary analysis. Yes, the game is heavier but that the thing I take away from this series is that Vegas was just had more depth of skill and was better coached.</div></div>
And my oh my were they coached well. I was so impressed with their passing and puck possession. Their breakouts, forecheck and backchecking was very impressive.

I agree, the term on this contract has me nervous. I'm hoping he can play at a high level all the way through but seeing Suter slow down a bit this season has me scared for all the big contracts we have. Eventually that NMC I believe becomes an M-NTC so hopefully he at least plays well until that changes

Three Way Eichel Deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sabres89</b></div><div>And yet the new york media would have you believe that the rangers have 15 players or prospects that are "off limits" and the sabres should be prepared to take a few cap dumps and lesser pieces in return. I dont put too much stock in the media, they arent looking for accuracy, they are looking for hits. There are teams that could beat this offer, the questions are 'would they'; and if they dont 'is this enough?'</div></div>
Normally I would agree with you on not putting much stock into media, but in this article, I truly believe there was some great insight into value's and what not. The explanations were well thought out. The best proposal though was one Russo didn't share with the league executives: Nick Bonino for Connor McDavid. Obviously Russo declined for the Wild because Bonino has better faceoff numbers! :laugh :laugh

I've always wondered what it would take to get Jack Eichel. Michael Russo took fan's "Who says no?" trade proposals to league insiders and from their insight I can tell you this: There's no way in hell this get's Eichel
