Pettersson Trade
In addition to not wanting to trade their franchise C for a winger that will make more, the Canucks top prospects in general have higher ceilings than the Leafs, and the Leafs don't have a blue-chip C prospect either, so there's just no way this makes sense for Vancouver. So, even if you were to give them Cowan and Minten, and even add Knies, and take back lesser prospects and young players, it wouldn't make sense.

Canucks arent trading their franchise center that has been signed to a contract less than what Marner will ask for

Don’t see why VAN (or any team for that matter) would pay for KK. Maybe you can get him off the books for a late pick with 900K retained or something

I'd suggest you delete this before Canucks fans see it. That's a horrendous offer

Nice to see a team built almost entirely through the draft, rather than having star players whine their way there.

Pettersson is better and it’s not close</div></div>
You're arguing with a brick wall. If Petey was on Carolina and Aho on the Nucks, he'd be trying to convince you that Petey is better

Could there be a worse trade for Canucks? They give up better player and eight years of control.

My favorite caniac moment is when he tried to tell me Andres bjork needed time to adjust to north American sized rinks.
Bjork is American and never played outside of the United states

Can't remember the last time a 50 point offense only winger who needed a new contract got that type of value in a trade....

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>It seems like he doesn’t know how to hit without throwing his elbow</div></div>
Worst part is. He absolutely does. He's the cleanest big hit in the league when he executes the way he should.
But if he's off, he's already out of position because he's committed to the hit. So he has to take some kind of contact so his opponent isn't getting in clean. That's where he runs into problems.

He loves playoff hockey. Tampas two cups don't happen without him. Gourdrowman was a force.

Xhekaj Price
<a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3338933">“Why would Montreal move Anderson for less value than what the 2nd OVA pick is? Since the player projected to go 2nd OVA is basically just a younger version of Anderson who has not proved anything to date? To me (and this is just my opinion here) Anderson would have more value than Slafkovsky since Slaf only has about a 10-20% chance of being better and a 50-60% chance at being the same player as Anderson and a 20-40% chance of not being as good. Anderson is already established and Slaf has 5 goals in 31 games in a men's league. How do you plan to suggest to Hughes that he should move Josh for a player (12 OVA) who has a 50% chance to be no more than a 3rd line player and a 50% chance of not even making the NHL? If Anderson is the player Slafkovsky could "potentially" be, why doe he have less value in fans eyes?”</a>

Not with kotkaniemi included. Way too much cap coming to Vancouver without sending anything back to Carolina. Remove KK and maybe but I don’t think Van is willing to sell Hoglander right now either
