Don't think they would want Fabbro with Rielly.

Play Holmberg, sign Bertuzzi or Stephenson. I think the Rangers will find a way to keep Roslovic.

Why wouldn't they want Fabbro with Rielly? Fabbro is a defensive defenseman

Zadorov is good to get more than 4M

Has he become a true DFD or is he just a TWD with little to no offensive upside? I figure if he's anything like Liljegren, then there's a good chance that it doesn't work out.

Last year he played almost purely in a shutdown role and was quite good at it. This year he fell out of favor with the new coach but when he was in the lineup it was often 1st pair. IMO a change of scenery would greatly benefit him. Last year he had 129 blocked shots and 113 hits in 79 GP as well as +6.3 Def WAR, which ranked him 19th league wide.

IMO Toronto should be looking to add 2 top 4 defensemen this summer, a defensive partner for Rielly and another offensive defenseman to play with McCabe. Acquire at least one through trade and the other probably via UFA. If you get a trade like this from Nashville then go out and sign Montour. If you get like Theodore from Vegas then go out and sign someone like Tanev or Carrier (or get Chicago to retain on Marner in a trade for Theodore and also get Murphy from the Hawks for example)

That's fair, but I feel like it's a same case-different player scenario, not sure if they are willing to go for something like that.

Yeah, that's exactly what I think they should do and possibly try to do. Might not all happen this year though. On the trade front, I would add Larsson, Andersson (although I think unlikely) and Chychrun/Chabot as options. Matt Roy and Zadorov as FA option.

Canucks aren't flipping Hronek and letting Zadorov walk
