I'd rather just keep all the picks then trading up to 5th to draft Tij. Sure it'd be a great story, but there will be better players available.

Detroit doesn't consider this.

Husso's contract is one season, Detroit is not a cup contender next season. His cap is not the problem.

Markstrom at 3M is great, however not nearly as valuable to a playoff bubble team at the cost of pick 15.

Hanley? Seems random to throw someone to duke out who sits in the press box between Hanley/Petry/Holl.

MTL do that trade if they aren't targeting Iginla (let's say it was Sennecke). If they absolutely want Iggy, they'll take him. As it looks right now, it seems strongly possible they really want him ngl (And I'm all for it!)

Appreciate it man! Catton definitely wouldn’t be BPA here, but honestly, wouldn’t be a terrible pick either. There is still a lot of offensive potential with this kid

I honestly wouldn't be upset with that. I voted Catton for Seattle because i wanted Dickinson. Any of them would be good.

As tempting as that trade is, OTT declines as they're in need of the 7th overall pick. It'd be a different story with Boston's 1 rounder instead and probably another piece thrown in.
