The Wright Trade

Description
The thought of the potential drafting Yakemchuk and Dickinson. I think Seattle needs to really look at themselves and compare to the other teams out west. I truly think they need to get worse before they get better. They should draft these two hopeful cornerstones on the back end and hope for another early selection next year.

SEA
  1. Holtz, Alexander
  2. 2024 1st round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
I really don’t know what the Seattle fans think of Wright at the moment or what his stock is. I think Holtz would benefit from the move greatly. Devils tanked his stock by their terrible management of Holtz. Even though he’s played well with the hand he’s been dealt.

NJ would love a Right handed Center
NJD
  1. Wright, Shane
  2. 2024 2nd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
10 and Holtz maybe holds some value here. Seattle can do a lot with 8 and 10. Who knows whos available here but there’s good around these selections.

Interesting scenario. I think I would take Dickinson over Wright…but close to 50/50 there. If Dickinson, Buium, Catton are all gone, I’d consider it. Would rather have Wright over Yakemchuk.

Interesting scenario, possibly a good idea for Utah also with there abundance of picks, try to upgrade hayton to wright, little early to figure out as a upgrade or not, but be interesting going forward with Cooley and wright from same draft. Along with geekie and the middle could be taken care of for a while.

Seattle won’t be one that. Wright showed himself to be exactly what we’ve needed in the line up this season during his call up and has been well served by a season to just focus on development. He’ll be centering our second and maybe even first line next season. We also spent most of the season just outside of the wildcard, but Dunn got injured two games before the deadline and the team only won 7 of the last 21 games, 5 of which were with our call ups from Coachella Valley

Seattle's not giving up their number one prospect to do that. They may trade back in this year's draft is both d-men are on the board +Iginla but that's also not a RF move.
