His stats went down marginally this season, but he was also called upon to make more high danger - and multiple sequence - stops this year compared to last.
Big body goalie. Leans butterfly / hybrid. Good feet. Quick pads / low net. Gloves are average plus. Needs to work on tracking puck into his catcher and picking pucks clean. His blocker is the weaker side. There are times he is late picking up and directing shots from distance on his blocker side. High end compete. Ability to steal games. One more year of college will benefit his game before turning pro. Fantastic foundation to work with and build upon before NHL.

At his best playing between his posts. Lateral quickness is average plus. When he is composed and square to the play he is difficult to beat.
Plays the puck very well. Ability to outlet long range is a plus.
Gloves are also high end of average Has difficulty catching pucks clean at times. Good feet for stature. Low net coverage is sound. NHL prospect who needs three years at college

Very good freshman year at OSU. A big body / butterfly goalie. Above average feet for his stature. Moves adequately. Not the quickest laterally but he makes up for it by being big in the net. Glove hand is average plus. At times he swats at the puck instead of absorbing it. Low blocker (around knee high) is an area of weakness that requires attention. Plays the puck very well. Can outlet long range. When he is on his game he doesn't stray outside the paint or his posts. Gets into trouble when he ranges to far tracking pucks side to side. Trending up.
