Skinner is not gonna get cap dump using 11 OA, Sabres are fined keeping him in 24/25 and deal with later

While I have no problem with package, but Sabres would get 3rd/4th line winger, 4th line winger and healthy scratch. Not optimal

Some where on twitter, that his camp is at 10 mil right now, so it probably ends in 9mil deal, which is a lot.

Again, Briere understands the huge asset an 11OA is but also knows its still a gamble. so, if he is trading Farabee (a known quality NHL product and also very young) he better be getting back something the flyers desperately need (center) and while 11OA is great he knows he needs more. Kulich, while still unproven at least has a resume. so to really answer your question now that I think about it more, NO. Now I believe the fair trade is Farabee for 11OA, Kulich AND Krebs. that's a more fair gamble for both sides</div></div>
You can get on the phone for Keller or Brady Tkachuk with that package.

You propose 11 OA + Kulich for Farabee ?

Definately dont want Kotkaniemi in Buffalo.
11 OA for Farabee could be slight overpayment, but would go with it regardless

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sabretooth12</b></div><div>Why wouldn't he be from the sabres point of view?</div></div>
Let's assume Sabres have Tuch, Peterka, Quinn and Skinner (Benson) as top 6 wingers. Vilardi is on same level as them, and you are giving Kulich, Komarov, Joker, 2nd, eat cap dump in Schmidt to get him. You top 6 stays the same, you still need 3C.
Kulich, Komarov, Joker, 6 mil in cap space can get you much better player.

Sabres are looking for upgrade in top 6. Vilardi is not it.

</div></div>
I thought they are set on C with Aho, Kuz, KK and Staal. And I doubt Sabres adding Jokiharju to 11 OA would move a needle on Necas. Jokiharju is nothing fancy, but he would cost half cap space Pesce would and would eat ice-time every game.

Not saying that’s a bad thing but it doesn’t do much for them. They’re probably still looking to package Necas for an upgrade as their preference.</div></div>
Sabres have future assets, they are looking for next season top 6 winger or established, defensive 3C
.
Where Canes need upgrade ? I still assume, them having 7mil Necas on 3rd line is luxury, they cannot afford.

Canes can use 11 OA for further trades, nothing is preventing them from it. I am not looking into 3-team trade scenarios.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac555</b></div><div>
Take a second and think about this…you traded for Necas and gave him $49m (7x7). Would the Sabres trade Thompson for a mid-1st?</div></div>
Necas is not on the same level as Thompson, Thompson plays on much more important position. Thompson`s contract is below his value, because he signed it in bad moment for him. So, no I wouldnt trade Thompson for 11 OA.

He is 3C right now, so any trade would have to out play him for this role.
