i don't know why colorado moves for ulmark when in both cases you're looking for annuen to take over. That 1.4 will go along way for the rest of the roster

Not sure I understand this for Boston. They downgrade in net, only save $1.4 million in cap space. Olausson is a decent prospects, but IDK if he's a guy that cracks Boston's roster next season.

What do you think it would cost for the Devils to get Colton? I like him for the speed and physicality, and feel he would fit in perfectly with the Devs, but I am still trying to find a good trade package for him. I believe Hattaka should be apart of the deal, as he can provide solid two-way play and be a possible cheap Jack Johnson replacement on the bottom pairing.

Georgiev and kadri never went to the SAP. Girard went once and you never hear about him
Nuke already messed up 3 times. Twice in playoffs forking the avs

Matt didn't want to be on the team. I assume Val wants to be an Av. They stuck by Naz, they stuck by G, they stuck by George; they could very well stick by Val. At the very least, they could trade him to a place where he has a real chance to continue, like they've done with so many former Avs.

I think this is a devil-you-know situation. Cannot see the Jackets, with their stable of young players and enough Russians for a starting lineup, being interested in bringing in a player with the severe problems Nuke has. Nor is there any reason to trade Laine for a different headache when there's every chance that Laine comes back just fine. Similarly, I don't think Colorado at the point where they are in their contending cycle can risk Laine not coming back, nor can they afford the cap hit. Everyone says no.

"Easily" is quite the overstatement. The first few years wouldn't be bad but they'd have big dead hits for four years after that that they really can't afford. I'd say there is .00000001% chance they buy him out; like it or not, they're a better team when he plays and since the window is now, they'll roll the dice and keep him around.

Personally I hope Val gets clean and there is some way for him come back to the Avs at a later point but I don't see it.
