10th overall to Boston
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>I think there is a point where Boston considers moving swayman.
I’m sure they have a valuation of Ullmark internally, and a valuation of swayman.
If the gap in contract costs and trade values for each is enough, I think they may move swayman. Now will that gap be reached, unlikely.
But if, for example
Ullmark will take a 4mill x5 year deal in Boston
Swayman won’t take a penny less than 8.5x8
The offers for Ullmark are like a 2nd+3rd
The offers for Swayman are 10th overall+
I think there comes a point where Boston opts to keep Ullmark instead.
Again, highly unlikely that gap gets reached. Ullmark should fetch enough in a trade and Swayman should be reasonable enough in contract negotiations to make it a moot point</div></div>
THIS ^ ^ ^ If Wayne Gretzky can be traded, anybody can be traded. Nobody is ever untouchable. The price might be a lot but its still there and if Boston already has a viable option for goaltending for 5-7 years on a steal then they'd have more money to spend up front which does have its benefits. Then they realistically can draft a high end goalie in any of the next 3 drafts (in addition to a potential top line player at 10oa) and they should be developed enough or close to being able to take over by then. Now whether it happens or not, I think its possible but very unlikely. The 1 and only way I see it potentially happening is if their negotiations go just as rough as last time and him and Boston management have a serious falling-out.

Well Clifton throws a wrench in that, but the Sabres might just do that. The Sabres really don't care to much on sides.

Believe it or not, the red wings actually say no to this. Ras "moose" is an all around favorite in the org and at times has been given the A to wear on his jersey. Im not saying its not worth the trade, but the wings just value Rasmussen that much that they would say no to moving up 5 spots. But maybe im wrong! all depends who is available at that pick

Honestly, there's a lot of people to choose from - I'll pick 3 users that I can tag, and then some general groups
1. <a href="/users/NHLFan10506" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@NHLFan10506</a> - always finding the harmless glitches in the CF system, but always puts lots of thought into posts, especially the NCAA ones
2. <a href="/users/jonh514" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@jonh514</a> - one of the more level-headed Habs fans on this site
3. <a href="/users/mondo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@mondo</a> - one of few smart Leafs fans on the website, always a pleasure to read the posts
+ the members in the twitter gc, everyone knows who they are
+ some of the older guys on the site tend to impart some wisdom, and they often tend to be nicer, always good to see them comment on my posts
+ everyone in the CFGM game left a good impression on me in the little time i was there for sure
+ everyone in SHL, those who are in it know what it is, those who want in can let me know
I'll also take the idea from fellow user Tintin, if anyone wants to stay in touch I'm on twitter - https://twitter.com/zk97__

thirding the love (and continuing to blow up the menchies of) <a href="/users/OldNYIFan" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@OldNYIFan</a>. Always kept it respectful and friendly regardless of who they were dealing with, and how unhinged they may have been acting.
i also always enjoyed <a href="/users/mondo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@mondo</a>'s posts, the more irreverent the better.
and <a href="/users/Garak" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Garak</a> has always been a very level-headed Hawks fan throughout the rebuild - the patience of a saint dealing with every other team trying to justify why Chicago should actually pay for the cap dumps they were dropping on their doorstep. the username/avatar combo also always made me smile as a longtime DS9 fan.
lots of solid users overall here - it's said to be losing one more of the places i felt comfortable popping in and participating in the community. thanks to all those who helped build that up.

This thread making me regret a lot of the snark I've been posting over the years.
While fun at the time I do think I could've been more constructive in my communications here.
In any case, 3 fellow Devils fans that stand out to me for various reasons:
<a href="/users/MellowK" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@MellowK</a> , the user I probably agree the most and share the same team building philosophy the closest with. Dude hasn't posted in quite some time but remain one of my favorite users.
<a href="/users/Smitty426" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Smitty426</a> , always shining through with a positive attitude. Love this guy.
<a href="/users/NHLfan10506" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@NHLfan10506</a> , CF MVP. Countless of banger AGMs not only related to the Devils but also using AGM creatively to discuss various forum narratives and also amazing compilations of the users' RFA and UFA signing patterns.
I can only tag 3 users at the time, but do note that there are a ton of other CF users that has made an impression on me over the 3 years or so I've been active in the forums.
Also, huge shoutout to my friends in the Twitter gc.
You know who you are. <3

i mean yeah but that would be based out of bias, its not necessarily disproven in the article (bruce can be a bit dense in his writing) but objectively speaking the sens cannot feasibly spend that much opportunity cost on markstrom

Sometimes, I feel like Garrioch is just a mouthpiece for the other team's front office.
Given that he probably doesn't have as much clout with Staios / Andlauer as he did with Dorion / Melnyk.
He also said Ullmark would cost Chychrun + a 1st + another asset FWIW.
