<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WhoCares_ItsAFantasyGame</b></div><div>Well, let's be fair here. Caulfield is one hell of a player for us, but I do see his point about is lack of pushing and playing the corners at this stage of his career vs Boldy. He's not as big and will gather that experience down the line, but right now, Caulfield is not that much off of being unidimensional player at this point in time.

I have confidence he'll gather that experience from St-Louis' coaching but .. While I wouldn't do a trade for Boldy and add a pick on top of that, Boldy does things a bit better defensively because of his size.

While points are relatively in the same ball parks, Boldy is a contant + player and Caufield is in the - ..
You can blame that on teams being different, but Caufield's number show he needs to get better defensively at some point.</div></div>

You've seen that improvement already if you watched Caufield this year. From the start of the year to the end it was noticable in the defensive end. He wasn't cheating anymore, he was using his body better, breaking out better and was better in coverage. Those numbers won't show until he does it over the course of a full year but the eye test was there throughout the year. He will never be a great defensive player but I expect to see a more consistent effort in the defensive zone next year
