Brady Tkachuk is a unicorn, the Sens' captain and makes just over $8M for 5 more years right after his first point per game
They'd need a superstar back, can't see the new ownership moving him for anything less
Yeah, all reasons why I don't think it happens but if they were to move him they get two potential stars/superstars in Lundell (12th OV selection) and Knight (13th OV selection), and a really good player in Verhaeghe who had 10 less points than Tkachuk.
Tkachuk will probably be better than Lundell, but Lundell does have the potential to be a really good player still, he could maybe even become Barkov 2.0.

Barkov wouldn't even make sense for OTT since he's 27, and they already have Stutzle and Norris. He also has a NMC so it wouldn't happen. Ekblad fits a need for OTT but he's often injured and only has 2-years left, he also has a NMC. Ottawa would obvious need to see that Lundell is progress in the season and Knight return and play some good hockey. They wouldn't be dealing Tkachuk in the off-season especially since Tkachuk doesn't have trade protection until 2025-26 season. If he does request a trade out of OTT to Florida, it would probably be to Tampa Bay so that he can make more and play against his brother, not with him.
