They can get him retained. Thay can then trade him, if they want, 75% retained to a team in need (any team with goalie injuries) for 750K.

Arizona needs a D to fill a spot. I can add a 4th at most, but Zaitsev has mor value to Arizona than Ladd, and Ladd about the same value to Ottawa than Zaitsev. Zaitsev can eat up up to 20min, and isn't horrid defensively.

One of these is not like the others. That's like saying the Kings would like one of Valimaki, Stecher, or Chychrun.
Regardless, that's way too much for Chychrun. LA says no.</div></div>
I'm just saying that Byfield is ideal, but ****emo would be the only one in the deal (willing to be dealt by LAK).

Saad for Kapanen + 2nd + 5th.
Schenn for Duchene 1 for 1 is the most you'll get. Duchene isn't playing that bad, it's not a cap dump if you're only shedding 1.5M in cap as a barely contending team for a lesser player. Jarnkrok is worth Sanford + 1rst at most. So the trade is Duchene + Sanford + 1rst for Schenn + Jarnkrok.
For the rest of the trades, you're underselling:
Tarasenko trade: I'd expect a prospect more than a 3rd (a proven prospect is more valuable)
For a team (like Edmonton) in so much need for a player like Parayko, there's no need to take on Barrie. Parayko with one year left on his contract is worth Puljujarvi + 1rst + 2nd. But Parayko has 8 years left (if I'm not mistaken), so Edmonton would have to trade Benson + something super valuable (like a A-prospect (like Tullio, Holloway, Broberg...) + high-end 3rd or an unprotected 1rst).
For O'Reilly, the minimum to start a conversation is Jarnkrok + 1rst. Then, with a little weadling, you're lucky if you only add a 4th. Then, with the retention, it's another 3rd. So it's O'Reilly for Jarnkrok + 1rst + 3rd + 4th.

And we're never trading Batherson, so no. We will only give up Thomson (or Bernard-Docker, for that matter) for a top-4 D.

Well, it depends. I run away with that if I'm St. Louis, but you might need to add a pick for retention (McMichael + 1rst + 4th/5th),. For Provorov, it's good value, but too much quantity: go Hagelin, Fehervary, 2nd and 2nd (probably more like a 1rst and a 4th instead).

Timmins, Simmonds, Barrie, Petruzelli, Mete, Clifford, Murray, Muzzin, Mrazek, Ritchie, Rittich, Foligno, Thornton, (Riley) Nash, Galchenyuk, Clarkson, Ceci, Marleau, Aston-Reese, Plekanec...

I'd do Edmundson for a 4th (at most a 3rd or 2nd if you retain) and DeBrincat for Horvat++++ (we need a goal-scoring winger more than a center. We have Norris, Stutzle, Pinto, Kastelic. Where does Slow Bo fit into the mix?)

Killing the future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Samsquanch14</b></div><div>I think everyone just gets too caught up in "points". If he was a leading goal-scorer, he'd be making what Suzuki makes. It's funny when those who don't watch all the games try to analyze someone else's games. Analytics are great and all, but they don't tell the whole story. What people tend to miss with Anderson is that he is a valuable asset being a fast power-forward who can put up decent points for being rotated through 2nd & 3rd line. Not only that, he creates turnovers and creates plenty of opportunities. For example, the analytics don't tell if his linemates are in the right places to convert from the opportunities. He's not a bad player at all and I agree with being paid like 1m over, but other than that, he proves his worth. Everyone just assumes that if you're not lighting it up, then you're not good. That's absurd because everyone has their play-style and roles on the team. To say you'd rather have Lucic over Anderson...come on now, talk about age (when 28 isn't even that old). I think what the other person is saying is that Anderson does have value and GM's would want someone like him, a 1st? Not sure, but something decent in return would come back. I don't watch Flames games, so I don't comment on who's ass and not ass because they can play an important role that I don't see on NHL Network's highlight reels.
As for help on this to the creator, I think there are too many pieces in the trade. Can probably get away with a decent prospect with a 2nd & 3rd</div></div>
Thank you!

Killing the future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dr_Invictus</b></div><div>None of the NHL "insiders" said Josh Anderson is valued at a 1st and a high prospect, and even if they did, it doesn't change the cap reality. If Calgary traded for him, then they would have to shed his 5.5M salary, at minimum, next year. Trading Lucic means nothing because his cap hit is fully absorbed by weegar and Huberdeau's extensions. These are basic facts, not opinions from Twitter. Anderson's stats are facts, not opinions. His age is a fact, not an opinion. So if your "insiders" are choosing to ignore that, then you need to question the value of that opinion. Moreover, no reputable insider has recently stated that Anderson is valued as high as so many Habs fans are desperate to have him valued.</div></div>

Why would you do this? Crouse is just a slight upgrade on Dube: he's older and on fire, and Dube's younger and in a slump. Crouse will slow down eventually, and Dube will get up and running again eventually, so why make this trade? And Mackey is a better option at 6D than Gilbert, in my personal opinion.
