if farabee gets traded then thats fine. but i dont hate my trade because you think something might happen.

You're not tearing it down though. Farabee is on too good of a deal. You just paid Tippett. Seeler, Sandheim, guys on IR might come back. This team wants to be good when Michkov comes over.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMDannyB</b></div><div>And we don’t want Mikheyev, the dude is a massively overpaid 3rd liner.
None of this fits are rebuild anyway so it’s pointless</div></div>
We know you don't want mikheyev. But you might want to gamble on hronek before you pull a rebuild. You can't rebuild and keep Torts and you're not kicking out Torts. So I think Philly is playing for wins without paying a ton to try. This deal helps that. The penalty is mikheyev, not losing a bunch of prospects.

If we need to pay a lot to dump Mikheyev we’re better off keeping him. It was also reported at the deadline that he doesn’t have negative value so we may be able to get something for him
Even if you think he’s a dump, he’d cost at most a 2nd to dump, possibly less. Leaving Hronek for a late 1st and meh prospect which is terrible for the Canucks</div></div>
hronek isn't what you think he is. 12 points in his last 39 games while being a liability on defense. we all saw that he couldn't hold any pace the full season. but he's gonna ask 7 million. We can't sign him and I think a lot of people know it.
it's sad that you took this and tried to overreact instead of looking at data. Maybe you're Benning here.
Oh btw, he does have negative value for us. because our cap space is pinched. If he had 1 year left, maybe it's just a second.

Not feeling 3 years for Martinook. Rather see another RHD signing like Tanev or Walker instead.
Top 6 is great though.</div></div>
If we have to make another move for the RD spot thats fine. We will regret paying Hronek for that spot though. He's asking too much.

We're paying Hronek to dump Mikheyev and getting something out of it. We'd be lucky to get this.

Risto would have to go to a third team. That would be a non canucks trade. We don't want him.

I expect a Cole McWard type to replace Juulsen if needed. Either way it would be in system or a waiver type swap out with PDG.

Joshua will get 3 somewhere. Hronek might get closer to 7 but not hit 7. His underlyings are bad. Guentzel might take this number because of our comps.

i just built within. didn't need to use cap raise. (but i should have adjusted anyway) i would pay both of those players what i offered and it think its possible they both stay.

we're not desperate to move lindholm and boston was always willing to pay a lot to get him.
if you think we're doing that deal under duress you're delusional. this isn't a must for us it's a want.
Boston on the other hand HAS to do something. Florida is taking the conference by the throat right now.

It's not the worst but Ottawa will want a 4th I think considering the cap hit and how tight Vegas is. It was only a 6th for Toronto partly because the player involved isn't a needle mover.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Originate93</b></div><div>Fair enough... Sounded reasonable in my head, but I'm new to this, so I could be way off</div></div>
instead of breaking it down I'll just give you a couple of common points.
#1 Whose the buyer here? It seems like you're trying to get both teams to get better soon instead of one now and one later.
#2 Most peoples trade on here are "What I want for what I want to lose." Trades have to hurt both teams. If you're happy about the trade from your side it's probably a homer trade.
#3 Picks in the 2-4th rounds are used by everyone like they take unfair trades and make them fair. If you're getting the best piece you can load up all the mid picks you want. Wont get there.
