We’re not the only ones that see his lack of playoff success. Don’t know how much more you’d get

We don’t need Robertson on this team. Another small soft F in the top 9 that looks timid against tough teams. No thanks.

This package seems steep imo, but to be fair I dont know enough about those Seatle players.</div></div>
It is steep and is probably a bit much. But no reason for Seattle to trade him this year with an extra year left on his deal. A bit of an overpayment to get the RHD we need with term.
We are probably playing Florida. Brodie gets exploited against fast hard forechecking teams and did not look good against them last year at all.

Toronto is going to have to give up better players/picks to get him as his worth to Seattle is greater than what Toronto is giving up. Multiple pieces of lesser value do not equate out to being the same.
I also think Toronto has a better chance of getting Tanev than Kartye but that's only my opinion.</div></div>
Yes of Robertson and Timmins for sure. But I would put Lily (who can fill Borgens role), Robertson to help with secondary scoring and a 3rd?

I have made a few Borgen trades in here. I think we will have to overpay because Seattle doesn’t need to move him this year as he has another year left on his deal. I’d say it takes Lily, Robertson and a 3rd and maybe more

I’m sorry but against Florida Lily will disappear. Robertson looks timid, not really doing much of anything out there

I think that's another issue... But Dubas didn't address our need for a 1LW (thank god Knies came through, but then he got hurt and it became obvious again)... Bc, he would have also acquired Bert last TDL and he might still be here as Bert goes off in the playoffs</div></div>
I’d say the closest thing we have to Borgen is McCabe. And would absolutely love another one of him.

Borgen is my #1 target at 2.7M and another year on his deal. These other guys aside from Middlestadt will cost more than Tre wants to spend. I’d say Lily, Robertson and a 3rd and maybe another pick for Borgen

Final piece of the puzzle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafsfan98</b></div><div>I don't agree that Borgen is an upgrade... Lilly might be smaller, but he's one of the best 2 way defensemen in transition... You need that in the playoffs...
I'm fine with Robertson getting traded, but I'd rather gain a pick for Robertson for when Jarny comes back... I'd even retain 300K on Robo to maximize his value and we could prob gets a team willing to spend a big chunk of assets for him...
Then watch the team for the NYR game and Bruins game and adjust from there... Dubas' mistake was making 8 moves at TDL without having a feel for the team (I mean 4-5, but you know what I mean) and the issue there is that he couldn't evaluate them and see what else they needed</div></div>
Watch Borgen play if you get the chance. Very reliable in his own end. Contributes offensively and hits everything that comes across the blue line or in the corner. Addresses every need Leafs fans are looking for in a D.
Dubas realized the team lacked heart last year and tried to make up for it at the deadline. I thought his acquisitions at TDL last year were some of our best players in playoffs last year. Too little too late and they were all rentals with no intention on staying.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mortarhead</b></div><div>Im a leafs fan (for context) but I dont think thats a good enough package for what Seatle is giving up.
I used to be a big Robertson fan, but the more I watch him the more he seems lost out there. He seems to always be chasing the play just looking to use his only big asset (his shot).
He doesnt skate well, his hockey IQ seems low for a player whos skills are better suited for top 6 role. Maybe he becomes a PP specialist where he can just be a trigger man?
I really hope Im wrong about him though. Is he a god fit for the Kraken?
Maybe Minten is a better chip to play and we can expand on the return? IDK
trade deadline is exciting though.
what do you think about the Bouch trade? (I think we overpaid but I do like him at 6th or 7th spot, just not for a 3rd rounder)</div></div>
Really?? Borgen has wayyyy more value than both of these guys combined. Come on. Borgen is legit. Robertson looks scared to be on the ice and Timmins is a 7th D on a decent team.
