<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Thats why they should go get Meier they got the cap space to do it and assets to get a deal done. Only issue is SJS in the same division but then again these 2 teams did make a trade earlier (Adin Hill)</div></div>
I dont really understand the division business since both teams are on different trajectories

they gotta resign meier to be able to trade him and i bet he'll want a long-term deal with lots of $$$
lots of teams won't want to take on that long-term amount of $$$</div></div>
True but a transitioning rebuilding team to contender will take a 40 goal scorer if they have cap space.
Similar to Ottawa with debrincat

Then like Tampa did with Miller trade him later if need be. But with back surgery maybe VGK pull a Kucherov for 2023-2024 then trade Meier in 2024. As man Stone's back must be gone rn</div></div>
Idk, they'd probably miss the playoffs without stone lol

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juiceman</b></div><div>I don't watch too many Canadiens games, however I'd imagine that despite his effort, Suzuki isn't actually helping his team very much. Maybe bad giveaways? Maybe just not great at defending off the rush? Dach isn't even good defensively, he is just better than Suzuki who is bad defensively
Edit: It is a strange case with Suzuki. He was elite defensively in his rookie season but every season after that just gets progressively worse</div></div>
He might put in the effort sometimes, but most of the time I find him lazy and waiting for the puck to come to him.
Dach is actually physical, and into it.
Suzuki is just a 2nd line Center.
He fared better in his rookie season, because Danault was playing top line. Obviously Suzuki being 2nd line caliber and playing against superstars each night, is not gonna play well defensively. But if we get Bedard, and Suzuki can be a 2nd line C, he'd be much better defensively.

Would you Match the Offersheet (K'Andre Miller)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hurricanes_WPG</b></div><div>I saw some people in Canes circles talking about the Rangers' tight cap situation and the raises due to Miller and Lafreniere, among others. Carolina has shown that they are willing to offersheet players that they really like in order to get them. I want some input from Rangers (or neutral) fans. Would an offer similar to Kotkaniemi's (the top of 1st+3rd compensation) force the Rangers to give up a good young defenseman, or would the team find some way to keep K'Andre, especially from a division rival?</div></div>
Probably match and find a way to trade troubs

In my opinion, the Canucks should acquire at least 2 more 2023 first round picks (Horvat, Kuzmenko trades), and a couple more 2023 second round picks (Schenn, additional pieces for Horvat or Kuzmenko trade). If the Canucks can get 6 picks in the first 2 rounds, they will be able to fill the empty cupboards. They should acquire 2 forwards in the first round, and one of the top RHD prospects with their late first acquired from trade. I'd like the Canucks to walk away with at least 2 new RHD</div></div>
Funny that you think Kuzmenko is fetching 1st + 2nd. Same with Schenn getting a 2nd lol.

You know, I'd ont know. At the beginning, the Canadiens were looking like they were overachieving recently its looked like they are underachieving . I think during the 2nd half, the Canadiens will be around or slightly above a .500 team, which would make their lottery chances worse. For Florida, they are trending in the right direction soon, I wouldn't be surprised with like 8th Overall and 15th.
