I can't recall, but I believe a few of these guys have come out denying their involvement. Others have been real quiet.</div></div>
On top of Formenton, I thought it was pretty interesting Raddysh and Katchouk got traded right around when the investigation got announced.
I think the only guy that actually had a concrete alibi is Mete. The college players also had decent ones but nothing guaranteed.

Winnipeg Jets signed Gabriel Vilardi (2 Years / $3,437,500 AAV)
So long my sweet prince…
Should be a great deal for WPG. Hopefully his health has turned the corner and he can keep being a productive player.

I mean, the last guy that was a ‘god in the BCHL’ the Avs drafted didn’t turn out so well.
Kings pass. Trading an area of weakness in Kaliyev for an area of strength in Mailloux.

Coyotes succeeded in rebuilding Valimaki it seems. Hopefully they can do the same here with Dermott. Only a few short years ago I think any team would’ve loved to have a healthy Dermott at this price.

What I would do as a non-Boston fan
No cap for Swayman, so the deal is kind of moot. Even if the Kings had enough to add him, keeping 3 goalies on the roster is not ideal, so one of Copley/Talbot goes back to BOS.

I remember London and Brandon was pegged as the final pretty much from day 1 that year. Such a pity London proceeded to wipe the floor with them.

2013 memorial cup had two of the CHLs best:
Leipsic - Petan - Rattie
vs
Drouin - MacKinnon - Frk
Winterhawks then replaced Rattie with Bjorkstrand the year after.

Doubt the Flames will be trading for any larger names until they have a better idea as to which direction the team is heading.
Given the current state of their goaltending, I highly doubt they’ll give up their 2x AHL goalie of the year without at least a half decent youthful goalie coming back.

Doubt Calgary would be trading for pending UFAs given the current state of the team, regardless of any hometown connection.

That’s definitely an offer I’d keep in my back pocket if I was the GM. Think they’d prefer Arvidsson, but if they needed to clear cap for something else I think this is a solid deal.

Was unaware he spent any time with the USNDP actually. I was under the impression he jumped from his U16 team to Hamilton, and didn’t have much to do with them outside of the international games.

Toughness is all fun and games until he’s being scratched in the playoffs like his stints in PIT and NYR, which is generally when you need said toughness the most.

As much as I think it would be stupid to do so, they’re likely going to trade Brodie. Samsonov opting for arbitration opens another buyout window for Murray, so there’s an option as well if they have no takers via trade.
I am curious as to who’s going to play defence for this team though, as none of their recent additions are known for that. Treliving is also falling down the same rabbit hole the Penguins and Rangers found themselves in with Reaves. It’s an interesting scenario that is likely going to take a surprising turn one way or another.

As much as I’d love to have him, I’m not keen on giving 36 year old Connor Hellebuyck 9M. He’d have to come down in either price or term.
Of course, context matters as to whether this is a pure FA signing or if the Kings are attempting to retain him.

Ziemmer will need some time, lots to work on with his skating. Remember Danault and PLD are exceptionally good playmakers, I'm hoping they help Kaliyev, Turcotte, Byfield, et. all get into another gear.</div></div>
Touche. That is the perfect role for him. I had him in at a little more than Anderson, so the difference is pretty negligible.
A full season of top line minutes for Byfield, as well as significantly more exposure to the top 6/9 for Kaliyev should hopefully kick them into another gear. Still holding out faith for Turcotte, as I once was for Gabe, but he’s getting closer to his make-or-break season. If he can stay healthy he’ll surely get back on track.

Tad cheap on Roy I think, but overall relatively promising.
Looking forward to Ziemmer eventually slotting into that RW depth. I think that’s about all this team is missing, barring a big leap from Kaliyev this season.

Hoping it would have come in lower, but also hard to complain about giving him 7 with everything he brings.
