No chance with the Rangers trade. We laugh and hang up. You're getting 3 of our top young roster players and a 1st and 2nd. Beyond ridiculous overvaluation here.

This offer will get beat by a bunch of teams that will be bidding on Eichel</div></div>
Who are those teams you say? Cause it’s certainly not the Rangers. LA sure. Who else though? Bunch of teams means at least 3-4. List them out and let’s see if what you said makes any sense.

Eichel Plus
No way am I destroying our team and future for Eichel. And why do we wanna go back to trading 1sts. Last time I checked we did that for a better part of half a decade and have no cup to show for it. No chance I’m doing that for Eichel who hasn’t even seen the playoffs no less.

I don’t think anyone can be worse than Johnson. At best a 6th defenseman. More likely a 7th who can occasionally fill in.

Then all we have on the right side is Buch. Kravtsov isn’t a sure thing and no other high end talent on that side. It’d be a mistake.

You’re exactly right on why we shouldn’t do it. We have the pieces, but those pieces are to valuable to our team long term. Eichel is without a doubt a top player in the game but your right he doesn’t fit with the current direction of the team.

I was just going off the trade, I’d include a 1st cause of the retention and extra year on the deal. Thought we were just having fun.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>No, we have one of the three best prospect pools in the League. Our future roster is so deep that with Kopitar and Eichel at center, Vilardi moves to RW and Turcotte becomes our #3C. The others are similar.</div></div>
You’re forgetting the beauty that is an ELC. When returning to contending that’ll be important. Plus it’ll allow you to upgrade your team as you see fit.

3-way--Who adds what
Are you high? Obviously LA declines. Orlov is not worth a first and Turcotte. LA immediately hangs up and blocks your number. Turcotte is a top tier prospect, they wouldn’t trade for Orlov while still rebuilding and no way would it cost that much.

KAs teamnew blood new core
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FreeTacosAreBestTacos</b></div><div>To add to my above post:
Given that Lafreniere, Kakko, Fox, Shesterkin & probably Miller are untouchables on the Rangers, you're looking at 2 potential offers they might make for Eichel.
1. Prospects based: 2021 1st (looking to be top 10), Conditional 2022 1st (say NYR make it to ECF, otherwise it's a 2nd) Lundkvist, Kravtsov, Robertson, Buchnevich/Chytil, DeAngelo/Smith for cap purposes
2. Zibanejad-based: Zibanejad, Kravtsov/Robertson, 2021 1st Top 10 protected</div></div>
This is what people fail to realize we don’t need Eichel. We can easily draft a center like Berniers or Johnson top 10 this year and they’ll be ready in 1-2 years. All our guys are still dumb young learning the game. Rushing the process would be a mistake.

Offer from Los Angeles for Jack Eichel
Seems cost prohibitive. Wouldn’t you be better keeping those pieces and developing them on your own. Remember one player can’t win on their own and if you spend so much to get Eichel you’re going to hurt your team long term versus just being patient.

Re-rebuild
No thanks to the Rangers trade. We’d have no top end or potential top end talent on the right wing. Plus I’d rather take my chances and draft a center this draft and keep all of the other pieces. Plus it’ll be expense to resign our young RFA’s if we had Eichel’s contract on the books (not saying he isn’t worth the money, but we got a lot of guys that need to get paid in the next 2-3 years - Kakko, Chytil, Buch, Laf, Shesty, Miller, Lindgren, Fox, Georgiev and that’s not even including Mika who may or not be playing his way out of town). I think LA might be a better fit for you to trade Eichel to.

I get what your trying to do and the offer isn’t terrible, but Fox is literally our best d man on a d core that isn’t great. Can’t see him being moved at all considering he’s our number 1 defenseman and is only 22. Dude has the potential to be the best defenseman we’ve in 20 years (not saying he’ll be as good as Leetch, but I could see him being better than prime McDonagh at his peak).

Understand where ur coming from, but from a Vegas side that’s pretty prohibitive considering they wouldn’t have a great 2nd line center.
