I think the Jets would want to keep Schmidt even though he’s overpaid, he brings a lot of stability to the third pairing. So we wouldn’t need Benning. I think the Jets would probably do the trade but only if Meier came with an extension.

Genuine question, why do you want Klingberg? He’s been a consistent defensive liability the last few years and he probably wouldn’t waive for Winnipeg anyways. We already have a defensive liability in Pionk anyways.

We need to make room on defence anyways. I also don’t think Florida does this trade unless we add either a 2nd or 3rd round pick.
