I feel like it is a really hot topic. However, pretty sure that, if there is a trade between Mtl and WIN for Dubois, the price will be kinda low like the Fox's trade to NYR. The team lack leverage to keep him and leverage to trade him elsewhere than MTL.

A third team would not pay full price also, fearing like WIN that Dubois would only sign for 1 year before leaving for MTL.

I agree, but EDM have Bouchard and Broberg that could take some more minutes that Barrie is taking. This trade allows these 2 young D to have more responsabilities while getting a 3rd center soooo needed.

You haven't seen him play if you think that. Gallagher is a cap dump, Johansen is too.

Anderson is playing for a bad team that has no structure, normal he isn't producing when he is playing with AHL players.

Yeah Barrie is in for Cap dump, but since he still is playing kinda good, he still has positive value on the maret (oposed to foefele)

Good point, some of this value will probably be transfered in Prospects with lower picks. Or 2024 picks since it's a worse draft

Robertson is a descent NHL player. Mantha isn't bringing what WSH wanted when they acquired him. He would benefit from a change. I agree WSH said they aren't rebuilding, but they could use a trade like that as a starter to liberate Cap and make another move.

Long term wise you have 2 first for Karlsson, you are rebuilding you prefer that and salary retaining than keeping him for nothing

You saw the guy play and honestly see no potential what so ever? Or you are just assuming based on the numbers you have on capfriendly? Kravstov need minutes to perform and it is not in NYR with this quantity of wingers and 8min per game that he'll develop.

Yakupov had a huge offensive talent when you looked at him, he just had zero hockey IQ, so he sucked in game situations.

The guy have value yes. Thanks for the over generalization, Kravstov is not KK. KK still has potential, yes, but he has a bad contract in a team that need to perform NOW, thats why he is trashed like that.

No Value?!?! He still has a good Value as a top 10 pick and was drafter by Gorton (now in Mtl). And the guy is 22 yo, let him play with guys like Suzuki, Caufield and Dach and he'll play better than on the 4th line in NY
