<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Lol. What???? You think Hoffman has positive value. That's hilarious, Hoffman is a straight up 2 year cap dump. It costs a minimum of a 1st and probably more to dump 2 years of Hoffman.

If Chevy got this offer now (and I will point out that Harris and Mysak have no value to the Jets) he has a chuckle and hangs up.

If a poor offer like this, including an uncompensated cap dump was all it took to get Dubois, he would have been traded already. As the above is an instant yes from Hughes.

How often do teams trade a player they have no reason to trade for 3 pieces that have no value to them?

So, the Jets would never accept less for Dubois now than he gets at the TDL in two years.

No way you're going to get what would be the best player on Montreal for a lowball offer.</div></div>

How would Harris and Mysak have no value for the Jets? They're B prospects. Thinking they're worth nothing is bad asset management.

Most team would have to send cap back on a Dubois trade. Hoffman is not that bad of a cap dump. He could be flipped at next year TDL.

I get that Harris is a LHD and Jets don't need that, but it's all about value. MTL got Heineman and Smilanec for Chiarot and Toffoli. Don't need them. Just added value on a prospect pool.

If Dubois wants out of Winnipeg, he'll do the same thing he did in Columbus. If he play that bad, he'll be worth nothing at next year TDL.

Dubois isn't better than Caufield, Suzuki and probably Slafkovsky.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy739</b></div><div>Barron , not even a hard question
Dubois wont sign term before he's a UFA
Absolutely no upside in paying a lot up front just to go to UFA market anyways

If Dubois wasnt demanding more the Suzuki then sure i'd be more interested
But with Caufields 22 goals and 35 points in 37 games under MSL(better then LAF career best)
I just dont see a scenario where bringing Dubois in before we atleast sign him makes sense.

Even if it did make sense
No i dont want a Center who is a poor man's Danault
He has 2 inconsistent years then a good one followed by a Trade Demand
We're not really interested in that non sense IMO

If its me and im overpaying for a Center Prospect i'd be looking at Horvat honestly
Multi 20 goal seasons with 4 /8seasons with 50 plus points to Dubois 2/5
But where he differs is consistency in Goal scoring and top 10 NHL Faceoff Center ability

He's what everyone pretends Dubois can be
He's a UFA this summer and fits our needs way better long term if he re-signs
He's actually be an upgrade on Danault instead of just a poor mans Danault like Dubois</div></div>

I think Dubois is definitly the better player.

He knows he won't get more than Suzuki if he signs in MTL.

It's not fair to compare Dubois to Danault, they're 2 totally different players. Suzuki is more like Danault, with better hockey IQ.

Dubois is a big goal scorer. He's mean, and would play a more physical game than Suzuki.

Dubois and Suzuki would be the perfect 1/2C combo.
